At The Goddard School located in Wilton, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Wilton Goddard. From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew this was a special place. The warmth, professionalism, and genuine care from both the teachers and management is amazing.
The teachers are warm, patient, and truly invested in every child’s growth. Management is organized, communicative, and always supportive — you can tell they care deeply about families. The curriculum is engaging and well-balanced, blending play, learning, and social development beautifully. Our children thrived at the school.

My child is in the Pre-K program at the Goddard School and he has been thriving. The teachers are very knowledgeable, supportive, caring, and welcoming. I am confident he will be more than prepared for kindergarten. I also feel very safe leaving him at school. Communication throughout the day from the school helps ease my mind and keeps me up to date on what my child is doing. I will be sending my daughter there when she is old enough as well. Cannot recommend this school enough!

My daughter absolutely loves going to Goddard! From the moment we walk in, there’s such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, from the beautiful seasonal decorations at the door to Ms. Debbie’s cheerful office filled with books.
Her teachers, Ms. Genesis and Ms. Joann, are truly wonderful. Ms. Genesis goes above and beyond to connect with my daughter in her second language, Spanish, and creates such a positive and nurturing environment. Thanks to their encouragement, my daughter continues to grow, learn, and come home happy and confident every day.
The teachers are patient, the leadership team is communicative and welcoming to parents, and I always feel that my child is cared for, seen, and celebrated. I’m so grateful to have found this school, we truly love being part of the Goddard family!

We had Ms. Carlie and Ms. Chris as our daughter’s teachers in the toddler 2 program and can’t speak highly enough of our experience. Both teachers, along with the director, Kate, and the entire staff, are amazing. The classes were always so creative and fun! Our daughter loved being in their class, and as parents, we always felt confident she was in great hands. We can’t recommend it enough!

We feel so lucky that our daughter had Ms. Carlie and Ms. Chris as her first teachers at The Goddard School of Wilton. She was in the Toddler 2 program and grew so much socially, emotionally and academically. Both teachers are warm, patient and kind. The director, Kate, and the rest of the staff are also wonderful and always made us feel welcome. The classes were incredibly thoughtful, creative and fun. Our daughter loved being in their care (so much so that she would clap her hands every time we pulled up to drop her off!) and we always felt confident that she was in the best hands. We are so grateful for the foundation they gave her and the special care they showed our family. I couldn’t recommend this school enough!!

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
