We love the Goddard School of Simsbury! The teachers are always incredibly kind, nurturing, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth. The school is excellent about communicating any of our child’s needs throughout the day. We love receiving daily photos and updates and know that the teachers do not hesitate to call us if needed. The classrooms are always clean and well organized. We are amazed at how much our son learns every week. Our little guy is always eager to get to school every morning and by pickup time he never wants to leave! We cannot recommend this school enough!

Our son has been in the infant classroom for a little over 3 weeks now. I’m extremely happy with the school, thus far. They’ve been very patient and accommodating when he was having a hard time adjusting his first week when I went back to work.
He is the youngest in his classroom, and I can tell the teachers really care for him, which makes it a little easier for me, not having to worry about his safety and wellbeing in their care.
The school is very clean, which I appreciate! I love the constant updates throughout the day, with pictures of my kiddo. I’m very happy with my choice in enrolling my son in the Goddard school and highly recommend to any parent in the area.

From the very beginning, I could tell this place was something special. The kindness, respect, and support shown here create such a welcoming environment, and it’s clear how much care goes into every part of the school. Allison, Rex, and Marissa lead with thoughtfulness and open communication, and you can see how deeply they value the children and families. I want to give a special thank-you to Allison—her guidance has made such a positive impact on my life, and I’m truly grateful for her. I also want to give a heartfelt shout-out to Miss Sara and Miss Tabby for taking such wonderful care of Londyn. She has loved coming to school, and your warmth has helped her feel comfortable, confident, and so well cared for.

Our son has been in the infant classroom at the Goddard School in Simsbury since June, and our experience has been nothing short of amazing since day one. His classroom is always clean, organized, and inviting and the teachers are warm, caring, and truly attentive to every child. Our son is thriving, and it’s incredibly reassuring to know he is in the absolute best hands while we’re at work and he’s not in our care. We are so grateful for Goddard Simsbury! Thank you for all that you do for our little guy Miss Alexis, Marissa, and Allison!

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.

To ensure the health and safety of everyone, if an outbreak occurs and a child has not been vaccinated, they will be asked to stay at home.
