This school has been awesome with helping to acclimate my little one to being in daycare. They have been kind, patient and understanding in my little guys first few weeks as he adjusted. His teacher Ms. Stephanie has been amazing, and always communicates with us. Always giving us verbal updates and feedback. Overall we have had an amazing experience

We are incredibly happy with The Goddard School of Shelton! The staff is warm, professional, and truly dedicated to the children. Mr. Mufif and Ms. Sam go above and beyond in everything they do. You can tell they genuinely care and take pride in their work.
Since our child is speech delayed, choosing the right place for him was a difficult decision. I wanted to give it some time before writing a review so I could share a well rounded perspective, and now, after seeing how consistent they have been in their care, I can truly say we made the best decision. From day one, they made us feel comfortable and supported.
Our child is learning, growing, and thriving both academically and emotionally. The school is so clean and organized, it gives me peace of mind every single day. I swear to God, I am so grateful we found this place.
Sorry for such a long review, but if it helps even one parent out there who is unsure or searching like we were, then it was absolutely worth writing.

They have the BEST preschool teachers! My son joined when they opened from another local preschool and his behavior has done a 180 for the better. He looks forward to school, the style of learning and his teachers are what make our experience so great. The facilities are amazing and every member of staff are personable and welcoming. We’re so happy we made the switch!

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
