At The Goddard School located in Northfield, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
The owner was involved, the teachers cared about my daughter, and they followed through on what they said they were going to do. The fun activities they set up all summer were a bonus.

We love Goddard School of Northfield! We toured most all of the daycares in the Central Park area and didn't quite feel settled on any of them - but after sitting down with the owner, Lance, we knew this was the one we wanted our son at.
Having an only child who has been home with us for his whole life, we were very nervous to make the transition to full time daycare. It has been so seamless and wonderful, though. Our son LOVES his two year old classroom and teachers (Stephanie and Jill!) and actually runs in excitement to get his shoes on when we tell him it's time to leave for school. He has the biggest smile in the morning when we park to go in, and is in such a good mood when we pick him up at the end of the day. He has really thrived in his classroom, and we've seen such a difference in his confidence, curiosity, and speech since starting at Goddard a month ago. He's gone from not speaking and being more of a spectator, to actively trying to communicate with us all day, taking an interest in playing with other kids, and tearing up playgrounds. We are so happy.
We also love the communication we receive from directors, the daily reports, and the photos of his day. Really helps with the FOMO. :)
Thank you so much to all the Goddard staff, but special thanks to Stephanie, Jill, Jenna, and Lance! We are so thankful.

We are so thrilled to send our children to daycare at Goddard. The care is wonderful. My daughter connects with her teachers and all of the staff at school so well. It’s a great resource for the neighborhood and we are thankful.

Our two boys have been going here since they opened (over a year). The staff are caring and careful. Lower turnover in staff than our previous preschool. Great programs like bike and splash days in the summer, lots of educational visitors (dentist, zoo, etc). They do their absolute best to make sure your kid is in the right class and thriving. Good communication about how the days go. Most importantly, when something does go sideways they acknowledge and work hard to fix it as a team - no blame game between management and staff!

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
