At The Goddard School located in Castle Rock, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
Our two sons have attended Goddard for over a year. We had a negative experience with another local daycare and our experience at Goddard has been completely different. We’ve been so impressed with the professionalism, communication, and family support from this school. When there are challenges, the staff and leadership address them and communicate openly about them. We feel so confident in our sons’ social and emotional development as well as educational aspects of their development, especially for our preschooler. There is a reason the Goddard School of Castle Rock has a long wait list. We feel very fortunate to have landed here and consider this school an extension of our village.

Two children, seven years and counting! We have been grateful for the care, development, and partnership with Goddard as our kids went through the school. Great communication, and even with the some health challenges, we found a great partner with ownership and the directors. Our older son was better prepared for school than some of his non-Goddard classmates in the transition, and the impact of having great prep teachers including Ms. Sheryl and Ms. Chrissi continues to show in his growth several years later. We feel very fortunate as our younger son heads towards his own graduation from the personal growth and development provided here by his many caring teachers that also include Ms. Deb and Ms. Jess. A heartfelt thank you to Shannon and the Goddard team!

I cannot say enough positive things about the Goddard School in Castle Rock.
My girls thrived and grew so much socially and academically during the 2.5 years they were there. They wouldn’t be nearly as ready for Kindergarten (this year) without the amazing teachers and staff at Goddard.
I am so grateful and indebted to them for taking such excellent care of my daughters. THANK YOU!!🙏

Our child has attended The Goddard School of Castle Rock for 2 years in the preschool and pre-k classrooms and has absolutely thrived in the safe and nurturing environment they've provided. His teachers have been nothing short of incredible. They all truly have a passion for what they do and are genuinely invested in every child in their classroom. The growth we've seen in not just academics, but also in social confidence, emotional development, and problem-solving skills, has been incredible. The wide range of activities he's able to participate in at school, like soccer shots, little gym, and zookeeper visits, among others, makes every day an exciting adventure for him, where he's genuinely excited to go to school. He's heading into kindergarten extremely well-prepared and is excited to continue learning.
School operations are fantastic as well. The school does an excellent job of parent communication, has a safe and efficient drop-off/pick-up system, and great overall facilities.

This school will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Both of our children attended The Goddard School and had truly wonderful experiences. Our oldest started at just 3 months old and stayed through age 4, and the growth we witnessed—academically, emotionally, and socially—was incredible. The curriculum is thoughtful, and the school culture fosters a warm, nurturing environment.
The most recent teachers our children had were truly exceptional. Ms. Deb and Ms. Brittany in the preschool classroom, and Ms. Alexa and Ms. Cameron in the infant classroom, cared for our children as if they were their own. Their kindness, patience, and dedication gave us complete peace of mind and made our children feel safe, loved, and encouraged every day.
We would have loved to continue at Goddard, but a job relocation required us to move out of state. If you’re looking for a safe, supportive, and enriching place for your children to learn and grow, we wholeheartedly recommend this school.

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
