  Hannah helped us out when our normal daycare was closed. It is always a little stressful to leave your infant with someone you don't have a relationship with. Hannah totally put these fears at ease! Her communication was amazing and SO APPRECIATED. 10/10 would recommend Hannah, I felt very comfortable with her and my daughter had a great day with her.

  We had no idea we could get childcare through Jovie with backup care. They explained exactly what our benifit was and how to use it. Thank you Jovie team!

  5 stars for Zoe D, Ryann P, and Miriam W! All three of these girls made such an effort to build a relationship with our 2yo, really listened when we talked about his preferences, and were so fully present the entire time with him. Helped through tough transitions with grace, played and laughed together all day, spent plenty of time outside, with arts & crafts, and just being silly on a 2yo level. I specifically request these caregivers every time, and have built a great & trusting relationship with them. Miriam W sadly moved out of CO, but our experience with her is still a testament to the quality of care you can find. 3 stars for Bright Horizons + Jovie We have Bright Horizons backup care as a work benefit from my company and we use it when our regular care provider was unable to make it. Bright Horizons + Jovie is a series of hoops to jump through especially when you’re first getting started and don’t have a relationship with any caregivers directly. Still, the benefit is nice. We often get no call / no shows, or just no match at all even if you have the luxury of biking in advance. As true backup care (same day / next day real urgent needs) it’s very rare that anyone is available. So it’s hit or miss - it’s great when it works out, but I wouldn’t count on it as reliable backup care. When you do manage to get a caregiver assigned and show up - they have all been adequate. Some better than others, but rarely any red flags, they generally follow directions on food, safe play, screen use, and schedules. There are a few specific providers we really loved - and now will request them specifically at booking (and confirm with them 1:1 directly, rather than relying on the broken system)

  Booked a two days of in-home care about a month in advance, ended up with two different providers scheduled. Day 1, canceled at 6:30 AM day of Day 2, canceled at 7 AM day of This service is basically less than worthless, it actively makes my life more difficult. I could have tried to line up something else had they given me more than one hour day of notice after booking a month in advance.

  My husband and I booked a series of Jovie sitters during a week when we were working from home without our regular daycare. All our sitters offered safe and reliable care for our two-year-old, but we were especially impressed with Hannah McCabe. She was attentive, engaged, and keyed in for the entire 8-hour stretch during which she watched our kid. She chatted with him and read to him at length (which we really appreciated, since he's speech/language delayed). She handled Big Feelings with ease and was able to redirect and refocus him when he wanted one of us and we weren't able to step away from work. She followed care instructions to a T, was careful and thoughtful about his allergy restrictions, and was even able to get him down for a nap during a week when he was strongly resisting nap time. We hope to work with Hannah and other Jovie sitters like her again in the future!
