- JZJen ZarzyckaAug 25, 20241.0I was really disappointed by this congregation. I thought they welcomed visitors, but a couple of men approached me after their service and seemed really hostile underneath a veneer of smiles. I went to a class-like thing afterwards that was women-only. The ladies were all really nice to me, no hidden hostility like the men. That said, the topic for the day was how Jesus doesn't want us to help our neighbors, because they should help themselves. I guess Mormon Jesus teaches different things than the one most other Christians believe in. That was the one area where at least two of the ladies seemed to have some hostility toward people who need charity, but that wasn't a universal sentiment, even though that's what was being taught.
