I have been wanting to give this place a bad review for some time now. My moms funeral was 2017 and I still cant get over how her service was handled. When we first arrived to do all of the paperwork the lady helping us wasn't very nice she made a stupid comment of my moms long name like it was a funny thing to make fun of. She made a comment of how we needed to stop with these long names, not empathizing at all! The day of the viewing they arrived with my moms body 1.5hrs late, which was one of the longest hours of our lives. We had given specific instructions as to how to do her makeup and hair and they did nothing for her as what we had requested. They did put makeup on but nothing like how we had asked. Also, being Christian they should've had a cross on her casket, which they didnt. They had to bring it out in the middle of the ceremony and place it there. I despise this place for their lack of empathy.

Bob was so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable! I am 49 turning 50 and thought why make my kids plan my funeral. I made an appointment and so glad I did. I got to ask questions and go over things I didn’t even know were possible! Like what if I move States!? No problem Bob says! I love this funeral home. Many of my loved ones have passed and used Ouimet Brothers. We are always so pleased with the level of excellence they provide. It doesn’t matter how young you are it never hurts to plan now! Take the headache away from your loved ones because when we die they definitely will not be thinking straight. Planning ahead is always the best possible outcome. I’m so happy I made this appointment now.

Our family is incredibly thankful to Ouimet Brothers Funeral Chapel for their professionalism, care, and compassion during this difficult time.
A special thank you and heartfelt appreciation goes to Fehia, who served as our funeral director/arranger. From the moment we reached out, she made this overwhelming process feel manageable. Her communication was consistent, clear, and always full of empathy.
We had initially been working with another funeral home (Oakmont), but due to a lack of professionalism and a clear focus on money over care, we made the difficult choice to transfer our loved one to Ouimet Brothers. That transition — led by Fehia — was handled with grace, speed, and sincere understanding.
Fehia went above and beyond to make sure our mother was treated with dignity, and that our family was fully informed and supported every step of the way. Her dedication truly reflects the high standard of service that Ouimet Brothers provides.
We’ll definitely be recommending Ouimet Brothers — and especially Fehia — to all our family and friends. The care and peace they gave us during this time will never be forgotten.

Extremely blessed to have come across Fehia who welcomed us with opened arms and comforted us during this difficult time of losing our beloved Mother. My family was price shopping for services and we shopped around to places nearby and ended up going with Oakmont. Upon dealing with oakmont handling our services they lacked communication and was just rude. We decided to call around to use another funeral home and came across ouimet and spoke with fehia. She was so compassionate and loving we decided to use their services and have our loved one transferred. Thank you fehia for being so loving amd kind during such a hard time.

Contact your clergy. Decide on time and place of funeral or memorial service. This can be done at the funeral home.
The funeral home will assist you in determining the number of copies of the death certificates you will be needing and can order them for you.
Make a list of immediate family, close friends and employer or business colleagues. Notify each by phone.
Decide on appropriate memorial to which gifts may be made (church, hospice, library, charity or school).
Gather obituary information you want to include such as age, place of birth, cause of death, occupation, college degrees, memberships held, military service , outstanding work, list of survivors in immediate family. Include time and place of services. The funeral home will normally write article and submit to newspapers (newspaper will accept picture and they will be returned intact).
Arrange for members of family or close friends to take turns answering door or phone, keeping careful record of calls. If Social Security checks are automatic deposit, notify the bank of the death.
When I call, will someone come right away?
If you request immediate assistance, yes. If the family wishes to spend a short time with the deceased to say good-bye, that’s perfectly acceptable. Your funeral director will come when your time is right.
Should I choose Burial or Cremation?
Burial in a casket is the most common method of disposing of remains in the United States, although entombment also occurs. Cremation is increasingly selected because it can be less expensive and allows for the memorial service to be held at a more convenient time in the future when relatives and friends can come together.
A funeral service followed by cremation need not be any different from a funeral service followed by a burial. Usually, cremated remains are placed in urn before being committed to a final resting place. The urn may be buried, placed in an indoor or outdoor mausoleum or columbarium, or interred in a special urn garden that many cemeteries provide for cremated remains. The remains may also be scattered, according to state law.
What is the purpose of embalming?
Embalming sanitizes and preserves the body. Embalming makes it possible to lengthen the time between death and the final disposition, allowing family members time to arrange and participate in the type of service most comforting to them.
Does a dead body have to be embalmed, according to law?
The Federal Trade Commission says, "Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial."
