The Lethbridge Alberta Temple was announced in April 2023 by President Russell M. Nelson as the 4th temple in Alberta and the 10th in Canada. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on 26 April 2025. An open house and dedication date have not yet been announced. Plans call for a multi-story building of approximately 45,000 square feet with an accompanying distribution center.

- VGVicki k GibsonAug 21, 20255.0Many LDS Temples are visited by tourists as well as members. It's going to be a beautiful asset to the community, not unlike the Catholic Cathedrals. In Medicine Hat, the Catholic church there is quite the landmark, and loved by many. The Temple will also will have a visitors centre on site, so you can ask questions about it. Also, before it is dedicated, you can TOUR the building! You can see for yourself what will be inside, and what Temple work is. It has been said, that they will become a refuge in very dark times. And you don't have to be religious to value a beautiful building. After all, people love beautiful architecture all over the world, in every faith!
