I feel compelled to share our traumatic experience at this daycare to help other first-time parents make an informed decision. Our journey began in March 2025 when we visited the facility with high hopes for our then 1-year-3-month-old son. During the tour, they painted a beautiful picture and pressured us into placing a deposit, citing limited availability. A few days before his scheduled start in September 2025, we thoughtfully took our son to visit the daycare to familiarize him with the environment and meet his teachers, hoping this would help ease his transition. However, what unfolded in the following days was far from what we expected. Despite enrolling for full days, we decided to start with half-days (8:30 AM to 12 PM) to help our son transition. On his first day, there was no reception staff, and we were randomly redirected to a different classroom by a passing teacher. His assigned classroom, which was supposed to have two teachers present by 8:30 AM, remained empty until 9 AM. As anxious first-time daycare parents, we sat in the reception area to ensure our son's comfort, periodically checking on him while being careful not to be seen by him. The next day, the new head of daycare confronted me, stating I couldn't sit in the reception area due to "security policy." When I asked to see this policy in writing, she backtracked, saying it was more of a "guidance" and that we should "trust them." How could we blindly trust people we had just met, especially when they were making up rules on the spot? This was particularly concerning because the facility had no cameras, leaving us with no way to know how teachers treated our son when we weren't watching. Their insistence on keeping parents away from the reception area seemed less about security and more about preventing us from observing their teaching methods and interactions with children. Communication was practically non-existent. Information shared with one teacher never reached others, and messages left at reception vanished into thin air. They also sprung new "policies" on us, like a no-bottle rule - which was particularly puzzling since they accept infants as young as 6 weeks old. How do these babies drink their milk? This rule was especially challenging for us given our son's milk protein allergy, which requires him to have special milk in his bottle. The breaking point came when I witnessed a teacher's feeding method - holding my son's neck and forcing it forward to make him eat. This was after days of seeing him holding himself in a defensive posture, clearly feeling unsafe. When we expressed concerns about his crying, the response was a dismissive "it's normal" without any attempt to comfort him. We pulled our son out after just four half-days, despite having paid for a full month. The facility treats parents as mere checkbooks and children as numbers, showing no empathy or understanding of the delicate transition period for both child and parents. I'm relieved to share that we've since found a wonderful daycare where our son is thriving. A quality daycare should prioritize making both children and parents comfortable during the transition period, maintain open communication, and show genuine care for each child's well-being. Sadly, this facility failed on all counts. I hope this review helps other parents, especially those venturing into daycare for the first time, to make a more informed decision about their child's care.

Before finalizing on Primrose for my 16 month old (now 22 months), we’ve toured number of daycares and didn’t quite feel safe or comfortable enough to put my kid through daycare. It took us one initial visit with Ms.Anupma for my mom instinct to kick in and make a decision that this is where my kid will feel safe. Ms.Anupma, Ms.Shilpa and Ms.Archana and the entire team at primrose now is an extended family to my kid and us. So much so that he won’t stop talking about his teachers and friends once he’s back home. Theyre very receptive to feedback and genuinely try to listen to any concerns parents might have which is so important when your kid spends all day at a daycare. Thank you to everyone at Primrose for taking such good care of the kids and special shoutout to Ms. Anupma, Shilpa and Archana.

Primrose has been amazing for our family. I am a teacher and mom, and it’s has just been such a blessing having a wonderful support at Primrose, especially because my daughter started in toddler. I have always felt supported, and my daughter has always felt safe and loved! We have enjoyed all of our teachers.

Primrose school of Bothell has been such a blessing to our family. My granddaughter started there as a infant and we couldn"t be more pleased. The building is spotless and always smells clean and fresh. The teachers go above and beyond to love our children and truly get to know them and make a connection. The communication is real time through an app that provides updates with picture, meals ,and naps. The outdoor play area and classrooms and designed specifically for each age group ,so the classroom furniture and playground grow with your child. I honestly can't express into words how amazing the staff is! My child is always excited to go to school, which tells us they are in a happy and loving environment. We are very pleased with our 3 yrs. Primrose experience and look forward to what they'll learn in the future.

We have had a very positive experience with Pimrose even during the transition of ownership. In the beginning we were a bit hesitant to remove the animals and rainforest cafe feel…but the new changes have been additive and extremely helpful. The new owners are empathetic and know my child by name. For whatever reason mentioned about staff turnover: for 2-3 years I haven’t seen a single staff turnover. The original teacher (amazing human) who took care of my child is still there and each day coming out of their respective room to say good morning to my child before my child goes to their respective room. And by go I mean run. Our child runs to their class with a big smile. I wish we had this choice with our first child. Keep it up pimrose
