Both of our kids go here (age 5 and 2) and we are so happy to be part of the school and community here. Our oldest has been since preschool and is now in the Kindergarten class. Miss Sarah who leads the class is wonderful. She has a Montessori background and really works to adapt the program for each individual kid. Our youngest is in Preschool Pathways now and is so comfortable at the school. It’s expensive but we’re happy paying seeing the quality of care we get for our kids.

I DO NOT recommend this school.
Long story short — after trusting this facility with my two children for years, I raised a concern that my 2-year-old might have been physically abused. The staff said they would conduct an investigation, but when we followed up, we were accused of threatening the school instead. When we asked for proof of this claim, they admitted they had none but insisted their new employee “wouldn’t make it up.”
On top of that, the employee turnover is extremely high. Only about five teachers have been there long-term, while the rest seem to change constantly. It got to the point where we often didn’t even know who my child’s teacher was from week to week.
This likely explains why so many families have decided to leave.
Even after a month, I’m still requesting the return of my son’s belongings, and they haven’t taken any action yet
I highly recommend visiting The Golden Pond School, The Goddard School, The Gardner School, and Winwood — you’ll notice the difference immediately.
Edit on 11/19 based on the school’s response:
I want to clarify that my concerns were NOT addressed appropriately when I brought them directly to the school. My intention was never to be disrespectful, but to advocate for my child’s safety and well-being.
While I appreciate the mention of policies and protocols, my experience DID NOT reflect the level of communication, transparency, or CARE that families should expect. The way this situation was handled DOES NOT REFLECT that families or their concerns are a TRUE PRIORITY.
I hope that sharing this helps bring awareness so other parents feel heard when concerns arise.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Truly Exceptional – Setting the Bar for Education!
Primrose School of Ashburn has been nothing short of life-changing for our family! My daughter, who is about to enter their kindergarten program, is already reading at a second-grade level thanks to the incredible teachers, challenging curriculum, and the school’s unparalleled communication with parents. The staff truly go above and beyond—not only in academics, but in nurturing a love for learning and confidence in every child.
We had such a positive experience that we chose to transition our oldest daughter from public school to Primrose and saw remarkable improvements almost immediately. By the end of the school year, she was also reading at a second-grade level and is now more than ready for first grade. The ability to place students in higher-level groups based on their individual learning needs keeps them challenged and pushes them to succeed academically.
Another huge advantage is the daily communication. At Primrose, you can see their postings every single day and keep up with exactly what your child is doing. In public school, you often have no idea about your child’s day or progress until the quarterly report card arrives—which is far too late if you want to support your child in real time. As a parent, I don’t want to wait months to hear, “You need to work on this.” Primrose communicates with you instantly and partners with you to ensure your child succeeds.
Primrose’s kindergarten program starts at a higher academic level, challenges the children daily, and keeps them engaged—unlike the public school system where teachers often must start from the very basics and navigate large class sizes (23 kids, one assistant) along with varying needs such as children without prior daycare experience or those learning English for the first time. While public school teachers do their best, so much time is spent on routine and catch-up that true academic growth can be delayed.
At Primrose, every moment counts. The teachers are not only experienced and caring, but also deeply committed to helping each child reach their fullest potential. The difference in confidence, skills, and joy for learning is night and day. We feel blessed to be part of the Primrose family and cannot recommend it enough to parents who want their children challenged, supported, and inspired from day one!
