Primrose School of Wylie is an accredited daycare located in the Wylie area that offers infant, toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten and after school programs. For over 40 years Primrose preschools has been a trusted household name and a nationally recognized daycare provider committed to forging a path that leads to a brighter future for all children.
I am sharing our experience with PWSOW in 2024 to inform other families. During our time there, my child suffered several injuries, including a deep cut, bite marks, and a chipped tooth. When we raised these concerns with the school, we did not feel they were addressed appropriately. Additionally, we observed that the front office staff, particularly Karla, did not greet us as they did with other parents, and the teachers were often unwelcoming. On multiple occasions, our daughter was sent home in soiled clothing. We ultimately decided to withdraw our child from the school. Upon leaving, we were escorted out by Karla without any acknowledgment or thanks. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this school to families of color. We hope sharing our story helps others make an informed decision. We were also paying over $350 per week for tuition which is insane. Also, all of the positive reviews shown are written by families encouraged by office staff to do so, so again PLEASE just be vigilant of what situation you're putting your children in especially if you are of color.

After being at a different daycare for multiple years, we definitely see the difference in care!! The team at Primrose is exceptional and truly care about the kids who attend. The Executive Director Mrs. Solis is active in daily activities and works so closely to ensure all kids are receiving the best care. I wish we would have made the change sooner! Can’t recommend enough!

Our son started in the 1 year & under class about a month ago and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience so far. The staff is wonderful, the classroom is clean & playful, and his teachers treat him as if he is their own. It was very difficult starting him in daycare but Primrose helped ease all of our concerns very quickly!

Love Primrose School of Wylie! My babies are very well taken care of and I never have to worry about their wellbeing. I know they are loved and are treated just like one of their own. From the front office to the classroom teachers, they provide great communication and want the kiddos to have the best experience possible. Our pediatrician has always been impressed with how well my babies communicate at a young age. The kudos for that goes to Primrose. They follow an outstanding curriculum aimed at making every child successful. Not to mention, the extracurriculars they offer and the fun activities my girls come home and talk about all night. I wouldn’t have my babies anywhere else! 10/10 recommend

My experience with this daycare started out great. Love the curriculum and activities for the kids. Loved his teachers, but once my toddler started having normal toddler behaviors is when my opinion changed. My son was biting and I feel like they didn’t know how to manage or handle the situation. Meaning they let it go on long enough until the director terminated care on a Monday evening, after his grandfather picked him up and without warning. The AD suggested a speech therapist to help and that appointment was a month away. I kept them informed. They moved my child abruptly to toddlers class from young toddlers with no warning or adjustment period which I believe made my son’s biting issue worse. A plan was never put in place so we could work on it together and as a first time mom, I was in new territory. They segregated my child from the other kids without talking to me about anything. Had him in a high chair and lied to me about him liking to be in it. It’s so funny to me that now he is at his new daycare, he doesn’t bite AT ALL so that makes me wonder. Primrose is a good school for perfect kids. If your kid is going through a biting phase, hitting phase any phase where it takes patience and consistency…don’t enroll your child. I’m was deeply saddened because I loved the daycare but maybe some more training needs to be had on these types of behaviors. They made me feel like my child had a behavioral issue. I did still take my child to get evaluated and they told me he is a normal toddler doing normal toddler things that he will grow out of it. He did not qualify and told me that he is a child that needs more stimulation which his new daycare provides and he is so much happier. And again, he hasn’t bit a single kid, not even attempting. Also my son would have frequent blow outs and his clothes would need to be changed. I would pick him up and he would be filthy, from his clothes down to his shoes. They never wiped his face and I would always have to wipe his face and nose when I got him in the car. It got to the point I would just bring a wipe in when I picked him up. I honestly don’t take this out on any of his teachers, they loved my son and he loved them. I think the management needs to be better
