Worst place ever!! I'm looking elsewhere and changing school's!! This place is nothing but one big colossal failure of a joke!! Don't bother having any of your so called staff contact me. By the look of all these reviews I'm not the only one.

A friend recommended it and I tried to enroll my gifted student. Online communication was so bad right from the beginning, it raised a red flag right away. But the recommendation came from a knowledgeable person. So we pushed ahead. The applicant is forced to submit all sorts of documents first (not just school transcripts), before the administration comes back and tells what classes the child can take! At that point, one can choose whether to accept the enrollment or not. We didn't understand why they needed social security and birth certificates to decide what classes kids can take! But again, my friend was an educator and she herself was enrolling her kid in the program. Two days before school opening, the same friend informed us that she made a mistake! Apparently she just got to know that the ownership of the school changed a few years ago and the famed connections academy of previous years is Oregon Charter Academy now! When I checked ORCA site, their application verification time was close to 2 weeks! Verification at Willamette Connection academy was still not done and I was not sure if they would communicate at all within two days! Long story short, my child ended up going to his neighborhood school (somehow my friend's son started Oregon Charter School two days later)! I have a bad feeling about how this school is conducting their business. They receive funding based on student enrolments and I wondered if the documents play any role in funding. Hope not.

staff were rude, i tried to call in to get the transcripts for my partner (18) since they had anxiety about calling and didnt know what to say. when i called only they were alowed to talk on the phone, and when i tried to give them the address they just hung up on us. they called back later and i had to write a script for my partner, then the lady on the phone continued to complain about me trying to help. they acted like robots the whole time saying "we either need the student or the mother" when the student had anxiety and their mother doesnt live with them. are there even people working here or are the automated?

Thought this school would be the best option during Covid and boy was I wrong. My son played catch up on all the homework they assigned before he started And is doing the classes now that are new, he has 50 as of today of work he has done that has not been graded at all and his grade went from a 74% to a 41% because they don’t seem to grade any work! It is a waste of time! Only issuing one computer per family is ridiculous, the school districts offer a computer for every student. Rip off of a school!!

There is only one way to describe this place- horribly unorganized, uninformed and uncaring. I worked since June 2020 to get both my daughters enrolled thinking that this would be a better option for my daughters especially since one of my daughters can’t attend public schools during COVID. Not knowing if school would be remotely done I that this would be a better option. I was so wrong! Here it is 9/8/20 and still my daughters couldn’t log in or attend their live welcome classes they don’t issue more than one laptop if you have multiple children trying to attend, because they only issue one laptop per family. I really don’t understand that because they are funded through the school district and if your child goes to your school in district they EACH receive a chrome book right, so if they’re collecting the funds for each child in your home including the funds for laptops why shouldn’t each child receive a laptop especially since they don’t allow chrome books to be used? NO ONE could answer this question. So I now called their local schools to enroll my daughters back in they informed me that they NEVER received any notification my children would not be attending. Thank goodness this wasn’t as difficult as I thought it was going to be. PLEASE DO YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILDREN A FAVOR DO NOT ENROLL! They don’t know what they’re doing and don’t care how frustrating it is for the children or the parent.
