The best daycare/school on Upper East Side. Leadership and teachers are very caring and loving. They ensure that both the parents and children are very well taken care off. They are very responsive when asked questions and very responsible when taking care of children. Kids feel like it’s their second home and absolutely love the teachers.

We have had a very positive experience at Primrose with our daughter (started age 2, now 4). She is loved and cared for by the room teachers, and often doesn’t want to leave when we come to pick her up. As parents, the centre feels very well-run - it’s neat and tidy, has good communications with parents, and provides structured learning to the extent it makes sense for little kids. We’d highly recommend.

We are so happy with our choice to enroll our daughter at Primrose 82nd St!
My husband and I were constantly going back-and-forth between nanny or daycare, and after touring some daycare and interviewing nannies, we still weren’t sure - that is, until we went to Primrose. From the moment we walked in for our tour, we knew this would be a place that would treat our daughter as if she were their own while in their care. In every aspect, Primrose exceeds our expectations. The center is extremely clean and they take great care for extra sanitation if anyone is sick. At pickup I often see the toys soaking or the mattresses propped up to be cleaned. The curriculum is super cute and developmentally appropriate, and our daughter always comes home tired from a full day of play and learning. Over the weekends we frequently are treated to a new skill picked up from her teachers or classmates (last week was moving her finger over her lips to make sounds, last month crawling at lightening speed, etc). And the teachers and admin - I cannot say enough good things about them! From an admin perspective, everything is tracked and organized perfectly, and we constantly get updates on what our daughter is doing and what is upcoming. If anything is astray I am notified promptly and there are many opportunities for interaction with leadership, who all know all families by name. And the teachers are FANTASTIC. In the classroom, there are two lead teachers and then additional float staff who are full time, so known to the kids and families. My daughter squeals when we walk in the room and puts her arm out to be picked up by one of her teachers, and I’ve come to consider them part of my village. From recommendations on different meals to try to giving us teething tips and tricks and everything in between, I know I can rely on her teachers to help make sure my daughter is taken care of and pushed to grow. They are always happy to see her at drop off and I get a full report at pickup of her day - activities, demeanor, sleep/eat/diaper updates- everything you could need to know. Plus lots of cute pictures!
I have never once worried about my daughter after I dropped her off – I know she’s going to not only have fun but also be safe and loved, and that’s everything I could ask for in a school. You cannot go wrong by enrolling your child at Primrose!

We have had the best experience at Primrose and can't say enough good things about the school's impact on our family. Our son started in an infant classroom at 14 weeks old and has just turned two; every day we feel how loved and cared for and known he is by every member of the staff. We joke that the lead teacher in his infant classroom was the third member of our parenting team, but it's true––we couldn't have gotten through the first year as new parents without her. She helped us navigate all of the big/scary transitions of the first twelve months (dropping naps, changing feeding schedules, introducing solids, etc), and she did it all with amazing competence and good cheer. In his toddler classroom, our son was exposed to tons of new activities, and kept stimulated and engaged all day long. And now, in his early preschool classroom, he's discovering more independence and loving his daily walks to the playground. Primrose executes at the highest level when it comes to safety and wellness, but most of all, we always feel that every member of staff is happy to be there and genuinely enjoys and celebrates what makes each kid special. It gives us amazing peace of mind to know that there are so many caring adults with eyes on our son, and we feel that the Primrose team is as invested in his development as we are. We feel that he is as open and comfortable with new people––and as curious and engaged with the world as he is––because of his time at Primrose.
