Primrose School of East Aurora is an accredited daycare located in the Aurora area that offers infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten programs. For over 40 years Primrose preschools has been a trusted household name and a nationally recognized daycare provider committed to forging a path that leads to a brighter future for all children.
We loved our old daycare so when we moved to a new town, we were torn to have to switch daycares. We toured several but essentially went with Primrose of East Aurora. From day 1, our kids were welcomed and loved. There was no transition period, they just fit right in. My kids have cried when I pick them up because they want to stay longer. Some weekends, they have asked if they can go to school. They love it there because the teachers feel like an extension of family. The administrators are wonderful, friendly, and down to earth. Hayley does amazing things for the teachers and families. We love it here and so do our boys!

If I had to sum up my child’s four-month experience at Primrose of East Aurora, I would unfortunately describe it as nothing short of disappointing.
While the curriculum was strong and the classroom teachers were kind and caring, the same cannot be said for the administration’s response to serious safety concerns. My child was repeatedly assaulted and physically harmed by the same child—who is also the child of a staff member—over an extended period of time. Despite consistently reporting these incidents and advocating for my child, no meaningful action was taken to stop the behavior or protect her.
The lack of intervention and accountability from the administrative team was heartbreaking. The final straw came during a conversation about yet another incident, when the owner told me to simply “do what’s best for your family.” Nothing signals indifference more clearly than being told—directly—that your child’s physical and emotional safety is not a priority.
Since leaving Primrose, I’ve watched my child return to being the confident, happy, and joyful child she was before—excited to share stories about her day and glowing with renewed confidence. That change alone confirms we made the right decision.
No family should have to choose between a good curriculum and their child’s safety.
***Edited after owners response. I personally brought concerns of physical and emotional abuse coming from another employees child on a nearly daily basis. The claim they weren’t aware is just absurd and untrue.
Hayley take some accountability for your business and the harm that was allowed due to your neglect to properly address the issue!

We LOVE this school. Deciding to go back to work was a tough decision for me and I put a lot of effort into finding a place where I felt confident that my daughter would continue to thrive. The teachers and staff at Primrose East Aurora are very warm and patient. They pay attention to the children’s individual needs and strengths. They also put a lot of effort into building a sense of community within the school through the curriculum and various activities for the families. After our first visit, my daughter told me that THIS was her new school. The other places we had visited didn’t stand a chance. I love the way the curriculum is structured to emphasize both academic learning and social-emotional development. I have seen so much growth in my daughter in the relatively short time she has attended.
I’m grateful to the folks at Primrose East Aurora for helping to make this transition as painless as possible for us and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a quality education and compassionate care for their children.

Our child started at Primrose School of East Aurora when they Opened in March of 2025. Initially things seemed to be going well but we quickly started to notice changes in her. Teachers had told her if she did not behave or listen her mom and dad would be so mad at her and it upset her tremendously. We explained we do not tolerate this type of correction for behavior or threatening our child into behaving correctly. Shortly after that she started expressing she was being picked on repeatedly by the same child. We dropped her days down over the summer and noticed her behavior change back to her normal happy self almost instantly. When she started pre-k in August 2025, things changed almost right away. Bullying began very quickly. She was being called ugly on a daily basis, she would come home in tears, she would say she wasn’t allowed to tell us what happened at school and shut down. I had Multiple meetings with the administration seeing as one of the children bullying her was an administrators child. Initially they led me to believe they did not tolerate this behavior, but i have Since learned they simply turn a blind eye to it. The bullying became more relentless, my child was scratched intentionally twice and when reported to the staff it was never witnessed or reported to me. Other children in the class also were expressing to their parents physical abuse they were experiencing from children in the classroom, but leadership insisted none of it ever occurred to any of our children and they just simply had “never witnessed it”. After a relentless amount of meetings, refusal to do anything about the children causing harm to other children, except saying I’m sorry and being told to use gentle hands or sit them at separate tables, we pulled our child from the school. You could tell in certain teachers faces they were not able to do anything about the situation and that leadership was in full control. Even after an incident on Halloween when one of the administrators went around the school in a giant dinosaur costume and terrified our child to the point of screaming and tears (we received no phone call just a heads up when I came to get her) our child had nightmares for weeks and no apology was issued to our child, until a week or two later when our child directly on her own accord asked the staff member for an apology because “that’s what you do when you hurt someone’s feelings”. Nothing was ever documented and our child continued to come home and shut down crying telling us the teachers are doing nothing and that she can’t take it anymore and she couldn’t hold it all in anymore. She stated she wanted to go somewhere that “sorry meant something”. Administration insisted everytime they asked our child how her day was she would say good, but i do not believe that, based on the fact that she would come home saying she was not supposed to tell us things that happened at school and that things were supposed to be kept “secret”. She started begging us to find her a new school which was shocking seeing as she had many friends she did adore in her class. Unfortunately due to pride of administration and refusal to admit there were problems within the classroom that went unaddressed for months on end we had no choice but to remove our daughter from such a toxic environment. Administration never took us as parents or our child’s concerns seriously or as a priority and removing our child from that school was the best choice we could have ever made.
Almost all reviews on their page are by staff members, so it’s no surprise they all gave them 5 stars. I wish I would have truly opened my eyes to the reality and seriousness of this situation sooner. Everything that has ever been brought to their attention has always been denied or brushed under the rug, but what happens in the dark always comes to light. They are very good at saying what they think you want to hear to temporarily make the problem go away. Save yourself the near 2k a month & find a better facility.

Primrose Preschool has been an absolute blessing for our family! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the warm and dedicated staff. Every teacher genuinely cares about the children and goes above and beyond to make sure they feel safe, loved, and encouraged.
In just a short time, my child has learned so much and is truly thriving. It’s amazing to see how quickly they’ve grown—not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. Every day, they’re excited to go to school, and the best part is, they never want to leave at pick-up time!
The school’s approach combines fun, creativity, and strong educational foundations, which keeps the kids engaged and eager to learn. As a parent, it’s such a relief to know that my child is in an environment where they are both happy and challenged.
If you’re looking for a preschool that feels like family, has incredible teachers, and offers an exceptional learning experience, I can’t recommend Primrose Preschool enough. It’s truly a place where children flourish.
