Primrose School of Algonquin is an accredited daycare located in the Algonquin area that offers infant, toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and after school programs. For over 40 years Primrose preschools has been a trusted household name and a nationally recognized daycare provider committed to forging a path that leads to a brighter future for all children.
I would not recommend enrolling your child here. Ruthann was the main selling point in our decision to enroll our child at this center. However, we found out that the preschool teacher, Tina J. was accused of mistreating children including mine and the preschool co teacher confirmed this information in front of the owner and center director in a meeting that we had. She confirmed witnessing Tina telling the children that they were crying like babies and many other horrible things that no child should hear from someone that is PAID to care for them. She should not be around children in any capacity! We felt her actions were swept under the rug which prompted us to pull our child out of the center immediately. We were not allowed to have a follow up conversation with the co teacher that confirmed all of this information, but all of a sudden the co teacher back tracked on what she told us which I feel she was afraid to lose her job. I am not sure IF she actually recanted her story, but that’s what we were told.

Our 19-month old daughter has been attending the Primrose School of Algonquin for almost a year now and we continue to be impressed by the uncompromising excellence of all facets of the school. From the teachers, to the chef to the Directors and owners we've received nothing but the best service.
As all new parents are, we were a little nervous to begin the daycare process. All of those fears were put aside during our first visit to Primrose. There we met with the wonderful Director, Ruthann. To date we have never met someone with such warmth and care. Even after the school has grown considerably and despite I'm sure having plenty of other responsibilities, she makes time to spend with each child and is involved in their growth and development. In addition, whenever we have a question or request anything big or small, Ruthann is extremely responsive and understanding. She was the main reason we decided to entrust Primrose with our baby.
Beyond Ruthann, what keeps us coming back is the wonderful teachers and staff! Each and every teacher our daughter has been with has made a lasting impression. Our daughter will be moving to her third class (Toddlers) shortly, graduating from the Infant and Young Toddler rooms. Each time a move is hard since our daughter loves each and every teacher.
Mrs. Lambert and Mrs. Wajda in the infant room were fantastic! Our daughter gets a little separation anxiety as most kids do at a young age, but Mrs. Lambert knew exactly how to make her feel comfortable. To the point where she didn't want to leave when we come pick her up. Mrs. Lambert still makes an effort to visit with our daughter outside her normal class schedule.
In her current class (Young Toddlers), Mrs. Naumann, Mrs. Potter and Ms. Hintz are amazing teachers! They take such great care of our daughter. They take the time to walk us through her day every day and let us know of any milestones or key activities.
I also can't say enough about the Asst. Director Mrs. Vayo, curriculum director Mrs. Butler and owners the Daniel's! I'm sure I've left plenty other folks out. Kudos to the Daniel's for assembling such a wonderful team.
Primrose maintains a safe, clean and nurturing facility combining the best in caregiving with a proven academic curriculum. My wife and I are excited to pick up our daughter each day to see what new art project she has done, words/sign language she has learned. Primrose provides a daily report card that makes us feel like we were a part of her day.
We can't imagine taking our daughter or future kids anywhere else. We highly recommend and endorse the Primrose School of Algonquin. Primrose has become an extension of our family and we are proud to be a part of theirs.
Sincerely,
The Jarosinski Family
