Primrose School of West Des Moines is an accredited daycare located in the West Des Moines area that offers infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten programs. For over 40 years Primrose preschools has been a trusted household name and a nationally recognized daycare provider committed to forging a path that leads to a brighter future for all children.
We started our daughter as an infant and she is currently a toddler. She has been loved by all the teachers in all 3 rooms she has been in. A few of our favorite things:
1. As an infant they feed your child in a baby led weaning style, which is very messy, but very good for their development. Not only that, but as she moved to the young toddlers room, they helped her with learning how to use silverware.
2. As a toddler, it is evident our daughter has learned so much. She has learned her body parts, she has learned specific words through the books they read, specific action words. Not only that, but she has become so inquisitive, constantly asking “what is this?” And wanting to help with basic chores around the house.
3. The do artwork all the time, even as an infant. My daughter loves drawing at home because of the environment they fostered.
4. Our daughter loves books because of the environment they have created. She loves looking at books and having them read to her.

If I could give PRIMROSE a 6th star, I absolutely would! I can’t imagine my girls being anywhere else. It is the most incredible feeling to go through each day without a single worry about my children. They have grown, learned, and blossomed so much—I only wish I had enrolled them sooner.
A HUGE shoutout to Ms. Yari, my daughter’s preschool teacher, who she adores endlessly. And to Ms. Future and Ms. Mercedes, my daughters pre-preschool teachers—because of you, my daughter walks into school feeling at home, supported, and genuinely loved. I couldn’t ask for better educators for my girls.
I honestly don’t know where we’d be without Primrose. What I do know is that we would never find this level of professionalism, genuine care, love, safety, or such an amazing curriculum and menu anywhere else. Primrose is truly one of a kind, and we are so grateful to be part of this community.❤️❤️❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽

Excellent Toddler Program at Primrose School
I am very happy with the toddler program at Primrose School. Since day one, I’ve seen how much they have helped my child’s development. The teachers are loving, patient, and truly take the time to get to know every child.
I love that they have clear routines, educational activities, and fun playtime that helps the kids learn while enjoying themselves. They also keep great communication with me and always let me know how my child’s day went.
I’ve seen improvements in his language, social skills, and even in his eating habits. You can tell the environment is safe, clean, and full of care.
I highly recommend Primrose School. My child arrives happy every day, and that means everything to me.
