Our baby absolutely loves this school! She laughs and smiles! She loves playing with her toys and interacting with the babies and her teachers too! It’s clean & safe. The teachers and staff are so nice. We love getting the updates on our app about her day.

This school may be good at schooling kids but it definitely isn't good at doing summer camp. I went here for one summer in K-1st grade and even then I was appalled. The teachers were rude, condescending, and unprofessional. Treating a special needs 6 year old like the way these people did is abhorrent. Probably a wonderful school but I'm talking about my experience. God bless.

I have mixed feelings about this location. I love Primrose Schools in general (I’m a former teacher at one), so I came here excited to enroll my son for part-time VPK. I asked how soon he could start, and they said, “Tomorrow!” I suggested Monday instead so I could help prepare him mentally as it would be his first time in a school setting. The staff were very sweet and even suggested a playdate before his first day, which I appreciated. On that visit, they said he had a hard time..he stayed in the corner, covering his eyes, and didn’t want to participate. They encouraged me to try again the next day. When I dropped him off today, he cried a bit, but I was told he did “better” overall though he held a teacher’s hand for the entire three hours. When I picked him up, they told me they felt the school wasn’t a good fit for him and that they didn’t want his first school experience to feel traumatic. They suggested maybe a smaller setting, like a church preschool, or even therapy. I’m torn, I can’t tell if this was said out of care or simply as an “easy way out.” I know many kids (including myself as a child) cry at first and then adjust. I had hoped they would work with him and help him succeed here. That said, the school itself is clean, well-kept, and the VPK teachers seemed very kind. I just wish they had been more willing to help him through the transition instead of deciding so quickly that it wasn’t the right fit.

Both of my children attended Primrose and they loved it. The education they received was top notch and they made lifelong friends with several classmates. The atmosphere was welcoming and I highly recommend Primrose School of Winter Springs.

I am beyond disappointed this daycare did not live up to our expectations, especially since we live so close. My child went to Primrose from 1-3 years old and this is what we learned. (It may not be the same for VPK) 1. Education. I was hoping my child would be learning more at the school. I would teach her at home and the school would not reinforce anything. At 3 she could not count to 10. She was not taught how to start writing the alphabet. She wasn’t introduced to another language. I know it was my fault to assume the school would do more but after I noticed I started working with her triple time. She can now do all these things because I was spending a few hours at night to teach her myself. 2. The staff does not seem happy there. The teachers are overworked and underpaid (this may be the case at all schools). I was approached by one teacher who was hoping I would hire her as a nanny. I also caught the director and staff yelling at each other in the hall. The atmosphere did not seem like a welcoming place when I walked in. From my experience and speaking to other parents there are no consequences for children that continually bit or hit other children. I was told by one teacher it was frustrating because they couldn’t discipline children and when parents asked how the day went, they weren’t allowed to tell them their child was behaving poorly. 3. Events. There were no celebrations for birthdays or holidays. Maybe they colored something but there were no special events. I understand allergies may be an issue and the fall parade stopped because of covid. They do pretend to grow pumpkins and a couple other things but no after school events or events with the family. Overall, I don’t mind spending additional money if my child gets a good education. But I wished I wouldn’t have spent the money sending my child to Primrose. The lack of education, the treatment of staff, and the lack of events did not make it worth it for me. The price of tuition and material costs are also continually going up with no notice. Before I left the school, I went to confirm they received the notice for my child leaving the school and the staff could still not pronounce my child’s name correctly. After this I knew I made the right decision. I waited to write this because I wanted to see if my child would be happier at another school first. And yes! My child is happier than ever! The school has a better atmosphere where the staff pronounces her name correctly and she has already learned so much in her first week. In a way I am glad I went through this experience, or my child wouldn’t be where she is today. Every time we pass Primrose Winter Springs she begs me not to take her there because the teacher used to yell too much. Hopefully this helps! I wish someone would have told me this.
