BE AWARE! Disrespectful, unprofessional, rude, and dishonest director - Monica Rivas. We scheduled a tour, and beforehand, on the phone, I was promised a spot for my kid. When we arrived, the director didn’t even greet us; instead, she immediately asked for a VPK certificate, then came back and said she had to call someone to confirm that my kid qualified for VPK, even though we had an official document in our hands. She was rude, raised her voice, and refused to give us a tour, instead insisting we wait while she made her call. It was rude and highly unprofessional. I can only imagine the communication issues the parents might have with her. After that, I never even planned to return. Later, I received an email from her stating she had confirmed my child’s eligibility for VPK but that, unfortunately, there were no spots left, even though the day before, there were plenty. What a joke! Avoid this place and save yourself and your child from unnecessary headaches. I did!

My son started at Primrose Schools as an infant after spending his first 9 months at home with a nanny. While he did well in both settings, he has absolutely thrived since joining Primrose. I was amazed at how quickly his mobility and social skills developed once he began classes and was surrounded by other kids his age. I love the activities, the frequent pictures, and the phenomenal communication. The teachers have been consistent and caring, and the focus on safety and keeping everything clean gives me so much peace of mind. We couldn’t be happier with our experience, and I highly recommend Primrose School of Lutz!

Absolutely terrible experience with this daycare. I paid the $75 application fee and never heard back from them about whether my child had a spot. I followed up via email, and Danielle responded saying my daughter was placed on the waitlist and that they would call when a spot opened. That call never came.
Eventually, I reached out to the director, Mrs. Rivas, hoping for some clarity — and was instead met with rudeness and zero accountability. She blamed me for not following up, saying, “We are human and we get busy.” She didn’t apologize once, wouldn’t let me speak, raised her voice, told me to calm down, and then hung up on me. I kept saying mem your voice is cutting, I can’t hear you clearly and she just kept talking and hung up on me. I called right back, she did not pick up. I called the school and someone picked up and clearly lied on my face that “she’s with a parent”. I was just on the phone with her 30 seconds ago, so you could have been honest and say we will not refund you and we do not care about parents like me because we have spots filling up no matter how you feel and what happened in your situation. Completely unprofessional.
This isn’t even about the $75. It’s about how poorly they treated a concerned parent who simply wanted to know why their child was forgotten. If this is how the administration handles basic communication and parent concerns, I can’t imagine how they handle the care of children. Proceed with caution.
