My daughter loves walking into school everyday and is welcomed with a warm smile and hug which lets me know she feels loved and cared for. As a mom I couldn’t imagine my child learning and growing anywhere else. The staff are so welcoming and take the time to get to know each family on a personal level and make my family feel special. We absolutely adore Primrose School at Lakewood Ranch North.

My daughter's time at Primrose was a positive experience, thanks to her wonderful teachers. Their care and dedication were truly appreciated. However, our family's experience with the administration, specifically with director Carlee Peterson, was very concerning. We were considering enrolling our three-year-old, and without our authorization, she took it upon herself to debit our account the registration fee. Normally, the Procare app is a tool that requires parents to authorize payments for charges. But in this case, the money was taken immediately and without our consent. When we decided not to enroll our son, Carlee refused to issue a refund. This was not only an unauthorized charge but also a clear lack of fairness. This experience, along with an outstanding refund due to overpayment, which we are still waiting on since early May, has completely eroded our trust in the school's leadership. I urge other parents to be extremely cautious and vigilant regarding billing and communication with the school's administration and specifically with Carlee Peterson. **Update 8/28/2025** Leadership reached out and apologized sincerely. I received a check in the mail today. Review has been updated to 5 stars as the staff were amazing outside of this incident.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Primrose School. Our son has truly thrived since starting there—he’s more independent, confident, and curious than ever. The teachers and staff create such a warm, structured environment that fosters both learning and personal growth. He’s learned so much, from early academics to social skills, and comes home excited to share new things every day. We’re so grateful for the care and support he receives and highly recommend Primrose to any parent looking for a nurturing and enriching early education.

If you value fairness and communication stay away from this location… I had a very negative experience with this location and Carlee, their Assistant Director. I reached out to her inquiring about putting my daughter on the waitlist and scheduling a tour. Carlee was pleasant and responsive to my emails and I paid the $200 deposit for the waitlist. During the tour, I was told that when our spot is available I will be given “plenty of time- at least several weeks notice” before my daughter needs to start. For the next several months I occasionally emailed Carlee inquiring about when can we expect to start- not ONE time did I get an email back. Almost a year later, Carlee called to tell me there is a spot available and our child would need to start on Monday (which was a few days away...). I told her that we are away on vacation and won't be back by then. She told me we can “start whenever we want but need to start paying tuition on Monday or we lose the spot”. What happened to the several weeks notice I was told we would get? I said we’ll just wait until next school year as this year was almost up anyway. I called the school 2 months later asking about next year and was told the 2 classes they had were filled already and our child won’t have a spot… I was also told I will be getting a call “within a week” to see if they decided to add another class so I can plan accordingly. Nobody ever called. I emailed Carlee once again and no answer. This location has been nothing but headaches. I imagine there are probably hundreds of families who get on the waitlist only to never get a spot or near from this school again.
