Primrose has been wonderful for the past 3 years. My twins have been going since they were 2 years old and I can not thank Primrose wonderful staff and teachers for taking such good care of my twins. They have grown to be social with other kids, learn something new everyday, and by the time the twins were 4 they could write and spell their names, and so much more. I recommend Primrose to any and all families. They truly take care of your children and their families. Thank you Primrose and Mrs.Friendt for everything you have done.

Look elsewhere.
We were impressed with how well this school seemed at first, it was definitely sold to us as a well structured, safe environment with high standards for learning.
Unfortunately, little by little the issues kept growing. Small things from the meal menu only being emailed out 60% of the time, to the final straw of my daughter constantly being hurt and us finding out only through my daughter. There is a child there who seems to bully the other students, and when brought up to the assistant director we were told “we’ve moved other kids who have triggered this child and we can do that with your daughter as well, this other child has been with us since she was an infant”. Slowly we started to hear about other kids who would punch my daughter in the head and they would get sent to the front office however we were never notified by the school. We moved from out of state so laws may change but I know her previous school was required to call us immediately when any possible injuries to her head happened, we were also provided injury slips or notifications if she would fall and skin her knees.. we were never notified of anything from this school. One teacher told her to “talk it out work it out” when she would try to get help when kids would hit her which the school did address, however I definitely got the “annoying parent” title and attitude from the school staff after calling to talk about that issue (I don’t really care since my priorities are to my daughter). Also, the teachers punishment for the kids when they were misbehaving were to send them to the library (reading corner) in the classroom. I couldn’t believe they equated a library as a punishment for kids, definitely sending the wrong message. Her teacher was gone for about a week before we were notified from the school that she had a new teacher (we already knew from our daughter but this information definitely should’ve been relayed from the school). Then we received a vague email about the other pre-K teacher who was unable to teach there due to a situation that happened outside of school. A little concerning. We are fortunate enough to have my mom coming to AZ for a few months and we’re able to pull her out of this environment however, when it’s time to find a new school there’s no way we would return here.
As a reply to Karen, we talked multiple times with Mrs Brockey even asking to speak with the owners (you or your husband) and never received a call. It appears as if a lot of our concerns that we brought up with your assistant director were never relayed to you! Might be something you should look into.

This school has gone downhill quickly, all they care about is the dollar. What ever happened to the ratio of kids to teachers??? My kids classroom had 17 kids in it today, not even in complaince. . . Excellent teachers but poorly ran in my opinion. Management don’t seem to care about you and your family, only the teachers do. Management is money hungry and that’s all they care about. This school is over priced for what they charge to what they offer. Also they don’t care to inform parents about illness’ and other contagious viruses going around. Take my opinion for what it’s worth but I will be enrolling my daughter elsewhere. Be careful and do your own research.

WOW what a great response from the owner, as a matter of fact yes the conversation your Director had with my fiancé the other day is what started this. The approach and demeanor given by your Director was extremely unprofessional. We have been going to Primrose for some time now (over a year) and my account has always been paid with no late fees. Way to go and put my personal information online, you don't know me as I don't know you but your delivery was sub par. I don't feel the need to explain my personal information to you as I would never ask for yours or blast it online. VERY PROFESSIONAL! Great approach you took her trying to make your business feel attacked here, I really like what you did. Maybe you should take a employee satisfaction survey with your staffing and get feedback, maybe this will help your turnover? Or even look at other reviews? I am not the only parent with these same exact concerns. You can contact me if you would like to talk further on this matter, thanks.

I would not recommend this school to anyone who cares about the safety and well-being of their child. In the 11 months that my daughter attended this center there were about 8-10 staff changes within two classrooms. Now, I know that turnover in this industry is to be expected but geez em, to me that is high. They will sell you on them have a top notch curriculum and that their staff has on-going training but what good is the ongoing training if the staff is ever-changing?
They are continuously not in compliance with the teacher to child ratios which just leads to the children running a muck or worse getting injured and no one seeing it, which I have heard more times than I ever cared too. When my child was moved into the 3 yo classroom it was a bit of an adjustment (which was to be expected) but we were getting through it. However, not a month into it, I came to pick up my daughter and noticed she had a long scratch on her neck. When asked what happened she told me that a classmate had scratched her. I brought it to management and was told that no one had saw the incident (shocker). They further asked who did it and I named the classmate my daughter named. I got from management at that time, yes, we have been having difficulties with this child adjusting, thus this was not the first incident of him hitting others.
When speaking with the classroom teacher, I learned that this child had attacked several other children in the room. I stated that I wanted to minimize the interaction between my daughter and this child for her safety. Not two weeks later I am picking my daughter up and learn that the same child had come across the room and bit her in the face. I asked what they were doing to ensure the safety of the other children in the classroom seeing that this child was apparently a loose cannon. I actually had a member of management, Mrs. Bauers, tear up saying " I just feel so bad for his family and what they have to deal with." Umm, what!?! What about the children that this child is attacking and their feelings and families.
The final straw for me was perhaps a week or two after the second incident, while picking up my child management says they would like to speak with me in the office. Once there, I am told that this child had again attacked my daughter, this time picking up a toy train and hitting her in the eye. It took everything in me to remain calm or as calm as I could be I was visibly upset and rightfully so. I asked why someone wasn't with this child shadowing him throughout his day if he has that much of an issue. To add insult to injury, this child was still running around playing and interacting with the children in classroom??? By their own admission my child had never done anything to this little boy, not said anything to him or otherwise physically done something to him that would warrant his attacks on her.
I was told that the school would be willing to move my daughter into another classroom to separate them or I could just keep her in the same classroom and they would try to monitor him more, what, really? So punish my child and move her because they cannot control an unruly child and /or keep her in the classroom with him further placing her in harms way. Yea, I'll pass. I told them that that would be her last day as obviously they didn't know how or didn't care to protect my child and the other children in the classroom.
The owner, Karen Verlardi, could care less about the safety of the children or the people that work for her. She is a very much a businesswoman who only cares about making money. For what you pay in tuition for this school, of which is no small amount and for the service you receive they are totally out of balance. The environment at Primrose is one of no communication, unstable, unorganized chaos. No one ever knows what is going on which begs the question, what am I paying for? Parents beware just because the facility is nice and management seems friendly, its all superficial.
