I’ve loved how engaging the infant room is for our son! When we were trying to find a daycare we heard the slightly older room had a curriculum and thought that was amazing but it’s been incredible to see how much the youngest infants are also learning. I’m always impressed and amazed how many activities and learning opportunities there are for babies that are under 1! I have seen so many activities that I never would’ve thought to do so I’ve seen that my son has been learning since day 1 and isn’t only cared after or entertained all day, but learning so much! I can only imagine how much he will continue to grow and learn as he gets older. I know every teacher will be amazing at this school but I already feel sad that he won’t always have his current teachers! They are incredible and I find so much comfort in leaving him in their care. It’s obvious they care about every student and he smiles so big when he sees them!
- LFLee FuquaSep 4, 20251.0If you had asked me less than 24 hours ago whether I’d recommend Primrose Daycare, I would have said absolutely, without hesitation. That was before we were told that tomorrow would be our daughter’s final day. Our family has only been with Primrose for 24 days. From the start, we were upfront about our daughter’s speech delay. She has been in speech therapy for two years—both privately and through state services at the school she will attend next year. We explained that she needs structure and support, and Primrose assured us that they had experience with similar situations and would work closely with her to help her progress. Because of her delay, our daughter sometimes struggles to communicate her needs and can get frustrated. In those 24 days, only two incidents were ever brought to our attention—one of which we signed an incident report for. The other time, when we asked for documentation, we were told it wasn’t necessary. Despite these challenges, we saw real progress: she was using more words, singing songs, and showing signs of growth. We felt hopeful and confident in our decision. Then, without warning, we were told that Primrose does not feel equipped to support her and that Friday would be her last day. This was devastating. We have consistently asked, “How can we help? What can we do differently?” Each time, we were reassured with responses like, “She just needs time.” Even the director admitted it often takes children 2–3 weeks just to acclimate. They acknowledged her improvements—and then gave up on her. We were blindsided, especially when told that “some parents had concerns.” Why weren’t those concerns ever shared with us? Why, when we asked directly, were we told things like, “She had a great day! She’s improving! She is just adjusting”? Instead, we were kept in the dark until it was too late. As parents who travel for work and don’t have family nearby, we were relying on honesty and partnership. Instead, we feel misled. We were promised a program that prioritized her development, but we were only given 24 days before being turned away. That isn’t support—it’s abandonment. This was a huge hit in the gut for two hardworking, caring parents. And to add insult to injury, just two days ago they started a uniform requirement. We purchased over $200 in required uniforms, only to be told today to “try Facebook Marketplace” to get rid of them. To the director and those parents who voiced concerns quietly instead of openly: you didn’t just end an enrollment—you deeply hurt a family that only wanted the best for their child. Primrose may talk about nurturing and development, but in our experience, they will not go after the one who needs extra care. They will not “leave the 99 to save the 1.” For that reason, I cannot—and will not—recommend them.

We’re so grateful for JJ’s teachers—both past and present—and the thoughtful way they communicate with us throughout the day. The transition to his new classroom was seamless, and we couldn’t be happier. We adore Ms. Rose, her balanced and healthy menu, and the way she greets us with a smile every morning. We genuinely love everything about Primrose and believe choosing it for JJ’s growth and development was one of the best decisions we’ve made.
