HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I ordered 2 port potties and 1 hand washing station 3 months before event. I gave the delivery address when I made the reservation. Nothing was said at that time about being outside of the delivery area. I paid in full at that time. The week before my delivery I sent an email to verify my delivery time and date never got a response. I then called on the day before my delivery to find out about delivery time. I was told then that the delivery time had not been noted yet and to call back in the morning. Still nothing was said about the delivery address. That afternoon I received an email stating my order had been canceled due to being outside of the delivery area. This was 1 day before delivery and 2 days before my daughter's wedding. I had 1 day to scramble and find another option and ended up paying double and still have not received a refund. Horrible!!

Unfortunately we use this company where I work. They do not show up to conduct regular services and it’s impossible to speak to someone at a local location (this one) you are forced to speak to someone at a call center. Our toilets and septic tank for mobile office trailer are supposed to be serviced weekly. This is only an occasional occurrence and they spend about three minutes here “cleaning”. No toilet paper or hand washing supplies provided. They don’t even hose out or wipe down the porta-johns. I would fire these people in a second and replace them but we are stuck with them because of a corporate contract. Don’t walk, run away from this place and use one of their competitors.

Where to begin. At first we had used United Site Services for two other occasions in the past with little to no issues. Outside that they don't deliver when they say they are and they don't pick up when they say they are. The most recent interaction. They showed up two days late (day of function) when they were supposed to show up on 06/19/2025. They had a pick up date of 06/23/2025 and they didn't pick up until 06/30/2025. With those dates in mind, I called on 06/26/2025 to schedule another delivery for the 4th of July as we were having a private event. I explained to the representative that they haven't picked up the toilets from the 06/21/25 date of delivery so would they just keep them here a week so that we can have them for our private function. He said yes, that is fine as it showed on their end "closed" (like they were picked up already). He told me to call them the week of the 7th to schedule the pick up and all was good ... So i thought... They came and picked up the day I had an appointment, 06/26/25. I called 06/27/25 and spoke to another representative and told them the story. They mentioned they would try to do what they can to make it right. Well, they didn't. I had to call again as I never heard back and they pretty much said. Sorry we don't have anything available especially for the holiday that was coming up. I get what you are saying but I can't do anything. I had a private function with no bathrooms due to their miscommunication. To top it off - they made me feel like it was my problem at this point and they didn't allow me to talk to anyone in management. They mentioned they were going to offer reimbursement of my $219.76 that I was charged. It has been more than 12 days and nothing. If you are looking for a company that delivers late, picks up late without notice, and provides zero accountability when issues arise - unfortunately, United Site Services fits the bill. And fi you run into problems, well... you're "you-know-what" out of luck.

The service we received was abysmal. There seems to be too many hands in the pot but no organization. Luckily we received very competitive pricing, however our delivery driver was not professional whatsoever, we initially received the wrong units, and pickup did not occur on time. Luckily the emergency line customer service was very lovely and local ops was very helpful, they are the reason why I am not rating one star, but I highly discourage using United Site Services if you want your service to go smoothly.

Frequently Asked Questions About United Site Services

What are the guidelines for A.D.A. restrooms?

United Site Services offers portable wheelchair accessible restrooms that are A.D.A. compliant for use on a construction site, commercial area, or special event in some areas. Where available, our A.D.A. units are large enough and contain the proper elements to meet the standards that have been outlined by the 'Americans with Disabilities Act'. Specifically, the statute states that for single user portable toilets clustered at a single location, at least 5% but no less than one toilet unit shall be installed at each cluster whenever typical inaccessible units are provided. Accessible units shall also be identified by the International Symbol of Accessibility. The exception is that if portable toilet units are used exclusively by construction personnel who do not require the use of an A.D.A. unit, you are not required to comply with this statute. (Federal Register/Vol. 56, No. 144/July 26, 1991/Rules and Regulations/4.1.2 Accessible Site and Exterior Facilities: New Construction). For the complete set of A.D.A. guidelines relating to portable restrooms, please contact our office or view our Regulations page.

How much does it cost to rent a Porta Potty?

There are a few factors to consider that can affect the total Porta Potty rental price. What is the length of my event, hours, days, weeks, months? The length of time the unit will actually be in use directly affects how many toilets you might need to order. Weekend event portable toilets and sinks are typically delivered on a weekday leading up to the event and picked up on a weekday following the event. Weekend delivery, service or pickup is available at an additional charge. Upgrades, like flushing toilet restrooms or restrooms with hand wash sinks will be at a higher rental rate than basic Porta Potty rentals. A.D.A. accessible restrooms might be required for your public event, large or small. The standards that have been outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act state that for single user portable toilets clustered at a single location, at least 5% but no less than one A.D.A. accessible portable toilet shall be provided at each cluster. If you are on a construction job site, you will need to follow A.N.S.I. restroom requirements for the number of toilets needed on site.
