I had a slow leak with my toilet. The technician and scheduling was professional and timely. The pricing was well above the norm. To simply install the mechanism inside the toilet was almost $500. I will never pay that again. However the removal and replacement of my emergency shut off valve was a bit more complicated. Both jobs included parts less than $100. The completed project was a little over 1k. Definitely way overpriced. Technician was there 2 hours. The work isn't detailed out for cost so you can't actually see the breakout of pricing. I've used this company before and they were quite reasonable however I simply can't afford to use them again. They also quoted me for another project replacing my main water shutoff with 2 other necessary replacements for said project. $2500. Again, Technician was awesome and very helpful but I can't afford their prices. If it hadn't been something urgent (in my mind), I would've reached out for better pricing of course with anotherreputablecompany. Still shocked at the pricing to install new innards for my toilet. 500 is highway robbery IMO.

Isaiah Hanson was fantastic! He was courteous, professional and friendly. I have 5 cats, 3 of which are only 2 yrs old. I asked Isaiah if he was ok with them being in the house, he said sure & he likes cats. Well while Isaiah was doing his work, he had at least 1-2 feline supervisors watching him constantly. I’m sure my 2 cats would have given him assistance if they had thumbs. 🤣
Isaiah explained my electrical problem & gave me several options ranging in price on how to fix it.
I went with the best option within my budget & he got to work right away replacing 6 outlets & a breaker. I appreciate his professionalism and he made quick work out of the repairs.
Thank you Isaiah for doing such a great job & thank you Southwest plumbing for sending Isaiah.
Sincerely,
A happy homeowner & her cats.
PS…. Nigel says he’s sorry he couldn’t be more help.
Avoid if you value your time. Inefficient "Efficiency" policies.
I have been a long-time customer (back when this was AAA Heating and Airconditioning), but the transition to Southwest Plumbing, Heating and Air has been a massive step backward in customer service.
If you are a working professional or have a busy schedule, be warned: Southwest’s policies are designed entirely for their convenience, not yours.
The Issues:
Zero Proactive Service: I pay for a quarterly HVAC maintenance contract. Throughout all of 2025, they never once reached out to schedule my appointments. I essentially paid for a service they failed to facilitate.
The "10-Minute" Cancellation Rule: After finally scheduling a visit for my two properties a month in advance, the experience was a disaster. Despite me calling at 10:00 AM on the day of, and receive their call at 11.29am to confirm I was working from home specifically for this appointment and would be on work calls, they canceled my technician at 2:40 PM because I didn't answer a "final confirmation" call 10 minutes before arrival. I was presenting on a Zoom call and couldn't pick up. A reality Southwest refuses to accommodate.
Efficiency Over Empathy: When I called back at 3:17 PM, the operator told me it is "company policy" to confirm availability multiple times right up until the tech arrives to ensure they never encounter a locked house. While they claim this is for the customer’s benefit, it is actually a predatory efficiency tactic. They would rather a customer waste an entire WFH day than have a technician lose 5 minutes of "billable" time.
When this was AAA, I would receive a text with the technician’s photo and an arrival notification. It was seamless. Southwest has replaced that modern convenience with a rigid, high-maintenance phone-tag system that punishes customers for being at work.
I’ve now burned a work-from-home day with zero service to show for it. If I have to manage the scheduling, chase them for contract dates, and then be "on-call" like an employee just to get a technician to show up, I don't see what value Southwest is bringing to the table.
I will be looking for a new provider that understands that the customer’s time is just as valuable as the technician’s.
Complete fraud. They told me my my furnace was a health risk and turn the gas off right before a major cold snap leaving me without heat and quoting me over $5,000 for repair.
Luckily I got a second opinion, none of the repairs were required. However they did say since it was 15 years old I could do some preventative maintenance. For less than $1,200 he replaced all the parts that they cited as an issue and left me the old ones pointing out that all the issues they called were merely cosmetic and functionally I didn't need to actually replace any of the parts.
For some background: I purchased a heat pump from AAA heating and cooling which was acquired by Southwest. The heat pump came with a maintenance contract required to maintain the warranty. Prior to Southwest purchase of AAA, their service stated that the furnace was in great shape for its age and that it would probably last me another 7 to 10 years without any issues. As soon as Southwest purchased them, the tone changed, all of a sudden they were pointing out things saying they needed to be repaired immediately and constantly trying to upsell me on services that are not required like duct cleaning.
Based on these changes, my assessment of Southwest is that they are not ethical and can't be trusted on their assessment of required services and repairs.

I hired this company to perform full electrical and plumbing work, on a like new-construction project of a 2700 sq ft house, which in total after some additional add-ons cost me about $90,000, which is (as I learned later) is almost twice as much as some other businesses charge for similar work. During the final electrical inspection, the house failed due to outlets being placed directly above baseboard heaters, which is a violation of electrical code and safety standards. This is especially upsetting because I personally spoke with several of their technicians about it, since I was worried whether cords hanging above heaters could be a potential fire hazard, and each of them assured me that placing outlets above baseboard heaters was acceptable and would pass inspection. After their team fixed the issues for re-inspection, the work created yet another problem. Their electricians replaced my original baseboard heaters with small wall-mounted units that do not match the style of the rest of the home. The units installed resemble bathroom-style heaters, are much louder than the original ones, and are inconsistent with the rest of the home. Other - ceiling damage, siding damage, light switches and thermostats installed too close to door frames, they also forgot to install electrical lines at the back of the house for outdoor lights. In the master bathroom on the main floor hot and cold water lines are installed incorrectly (placed in reverse). Just overall very poor workmanship for such a price. I sent detailed emails to them 3 times, and no one has reached out to me.
