  My refinished oak floor is absolutely beautiful! Johnny is very knowledgeable and experienced. I chose him for those qualities, but the price was very reasonable also. I highly recommend this craftsman!

  We have been customers of Blair and Sons since 2014. Blair and sons first started by sanding our "outdoor floor", a cumaru hardwood deck. They have since been back to add hardwood flooring to match the rest of our home after we removed our carpet. This past visit was to repair and match a portion of our floor after some construction renovations. Their quality is excellent and any time we need hardwood flooring work we know who to call.

  I was disappointed that the damaged part of our floors were not completely fixed by replacements. This was the reason we paid to have them restored and fixed. It was suggested that we put an area rug over that part. There are areas on the floor that look like they have oil stains and then sealed over giving an inconsistent look to some pieces of the wood. The air registers were sloppily done with drips on them and not completely covered to protect the wood. Areas that had filling were a flesh color over dark areas. I expected to be amazed and have a consistent look throughout the floors. That is not the case. When we first walked into the house part of our entry stairs were not done at all completely missed. We sent photos of our concerns to the owner prior to completing the last payment. He did fix some of my concerns but I felt excuses were made for some of the others areas that needed attention. I see these imperfections everyday. We wanted our floors to be ready if we sell our home. I’m not sure someone would consider the floors in proper shape for selling. It would have been great customer service to offer a discount since the job was not done to our complete satisfaction. We would have appreciated that.

  Blair & Son Flooring did a spectacular job to repair, refinish, and extend new hardwood into a room at our home. Absolutely STELLAR customer service! Johnny is courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and he took complete responsibility as though it was his own floor in his house. We interviewed several vendors and he was BY FAR the BEST for quality, price, and professionalism. Following floor damage by a paint company employee, we needed to find expert repair to replace a 14' bullnose board and the board behind it. Enter Blair & Son! Johnny provided a solid bid via email after a no-charge visit to our home to assess the damage, surrounding flooring, and our desire to add hardwood into a room, which required seamlessly "feathering in" hardwood through a doorway into a 12 x 14 room off the entry. The bid was very fair priced and he had so much knowledge about wood floors, installation, and how to clean and live with them afterwards. We were highly impressed with the repairs and new wood installation. Then he came over to apply six colors onto the raw wood so we could "see" the stain in our home, lighting, and with our wall paint colors. This was SO helpful in making a confident color selection. He is also very up to date about modern colors and finishes. The Swedish finish is the way to go. His team showed up on time and got to work right away. It was a beehive of activity as we departed to let them fully work. When we returned several days later, the home flooring was simply spectacular. We cannot say enough what a great job he did and how carefully they worked. Their reinstallation of the baseboard was flawless. We could not be more pleased. Finally, his office manager was very sweet and professional to deal with.

  Edit to Original Post: Fall 2020 Since our first experience with Blair and Son in 2014, we have since had the wonderful opportunity to use them again in 2020! This time we had our old wood floors replaced with beautiful new ones. From the moment we scheduled our estimate their were thorough, detailed and thoughtful. After the estimate we scheduled a date for tear out and install. During that time they educated us on the entire process and what to except during each phase. If we had any questions they were happy to answer and very easy to communicate with. When it came time to begin their team was on time every day & in lieu of COVID, we felt that their practices were extremely safe. We are extremely happy with our new floors. They are beautiful and truly feel like butter under our feet. We are customers for life! 2014: Blair and Son installed new hardwood flooring in our kitchen to match the hardwoods in the rest of the home. Seeing as our home was built in 1947, they sanded & refinished all of the existing flooring and stained the new & old wood to a beautiful dark color. They worked efficiently and effectively. The crew seemed polite and friendly. Each day they arrived on time & helped us move out furniture and appliances in and out of the rooms. Since completely our floors they have gone on to my parnets home in Lynnwood & even my place of work ( a yoga studio in Tacoma). Each time they have done nothing shy of a great job!
