    Excellent company , great communication. Installed the 12 year Rheem performance platinum water heater. Technician Jay did a really nice job, he was very professional and informative. Beautiful new water heater and peace of mind. I went through Home Depot to purchase a new hot water heater. They contract with the Fast Water Heater Company.

    2/5 Stars - Installation Issues and Incomplete Work I hired Fast Water Heater Company via Home Depot to install a Rheem Performance Platinum (Gladiator) 50-gallon water heater. While the heater itself works, there were significant problems with the installation that required a callback. Issues I discovered: 1. Missing Pipe Insulation: The contract included “up to 6’ of pipe insulation” as part of the standard installation, and Washington State code requires hot water pipes to be insulated (IRC M2105.1.4). When I inspected the work, the hot water outlet pipe was completely bare - no insulation at all. This is both a contract violation and likely a code issue. 2. Overcharged for Shut-Off Valve: I was charged $380 for two water shut-off valves ($190 each). However, I already had a functioning shut-off valve on the main cold water line. The installer added a second valve on the expansion tank line that isn’t necessary or required by code. 3. Had to Request Callback: The installer left without completing the insulation work that was paid for. I now need them to return to finish what should have been done during the initial installation. What went right: ∙ The water heater itself appears to be installed correctly and is functioning ∙ Expansion tank, drip pan, and flex lines were installed Bottom Line: The core installation seems solid, but the lack of attention to detail on the pipe insulation and the overcharge for an unnecessary valve is concerning. I shouldn’t have to inspect the work myself to catch these issues. I’m waiting for them to return to complete the insulation and process the refund. I’ll update this review once the callback work is completed. Photos attached show: ∙ Bare hot water outlet pipe (no insulation) ∙ Redundant shut-off valve on expansion tank line ∙ Existing shut-off valve that was already present
