Horrible experience: Deceptive pricing, faulty work, owner was very rude and combative. The float switch on my septic pump died. I called to ask for a price, was quoted $125/hr.... 2 guys promptly showed up and fixed it in about 1:15. I'm assuming $250-$500? I got the bill for $952.50. $250 for the float switch you can find online for $40 to $100. They charged me for 5.5 hours, $687 for labor. Even if they are charging travel time (30 min) both directions and multiplying by 2 for 2 people... that's 4.5 hours? Guess I got billed for lunch break? Don't forget the $15 fuel surcharge. But I made no complaint, just paid the bill. Less than 2 weeks later the issue came back. I called to ask if they did warranty work and explained I felt the original charge was too high and not appropriately explained (they quoted $125/hr when it was really $250/hr counted from the moment they left the station to when they got back). I wanted them to fix it without billing me another $950. The owner Jarod was super rude and combative. There was no "sorry it's not working anymore" or "sorry you felt the pricing was unfair or accurately described". None of that! He just told me he was one of the guys on the original job, the pricing was industry standard and I'd have to pay the labor again, but if the part was defective that would be free. He asked if I wanted to schedule... you could hear his disgust when said I was going to shop-around. I called and found 3 different septic teams and all had a $125 to $150 "service call fee" that covered the first hour. No scammy x2 for 2 people. Just $150 to show up and if it takes more than an hour, you pay an additional $150/hr... But all said the float switch is EASY, $150 or labor, $150 for the part ... $300 total for what P&P had charged $952! Anyways, Working Dog Septic arrived in 30 minutes and had it fixed in 10 minutes. P&P had set the float-switch up poorly so it interfered with the pump. The switch was fine, just stuck to "on" due to improper install. The problem was P&P's labor. Working Dog's service fee was $150, but he didn't think that was right for a 10 minute fix... so he asked for $100. I paid him $120. I'm now a Working Dog customer! I called up P&P and spoke to owner Jarod again. Again, there wasn't anything resembling an apology or remorse that they'd done poor work and I had to take the morning off a second time. Jarod belligerently argued that their pricing was industry standard and I was lucky he didn't charge an extra $250 for going into the pump station. When I expounded on how the other outfits said this was a $300 job ($150 labor, $150 part), less than 1/3 what P&P charged... Jarod called me a liar, saying I was "making things up" and the pricing I quoted from other companies was "fantasy"... I had to interrupt to remind him I'd already paid $100 to have it fixed. I wasn't making things up. The best I could get Jarod to agree to was a $100 refund to cover Working Dog fixing their mistake. Jarod insisted this could only happen via check in the mail, not possible to refund the card I paid with. I'm not at all happy with this solution as I'm still paying 3x what the other quotes were due to deceptive labor rate, advertising $125/hr and somehow charging me 5.5 hours while they were on premises for 1:15... plus crazy markup on the parts. Beyond disappointed with P&P. The rediculous billing (3x the cost of competitor quotes!) and rude customer service have lost me forever. Mistakes happen, but it's how you take care of the customer that matter. Never again!

Jonathon was very professional and had great expertise. He performed a septic video inspection in Milton. He took the time to walk me across our backyard indicating as I flagged the boundaries to where not to plant and build anything over the leach field. This was very helpful to help me design landscaping in the future. I look forward to working with P&P Septic for all our septic needs.

Jonathan came on time, and I was completely impressed with his professionalism and expertise on my septic system. I had the leach field pipes inspected using a camera and had the pipes cleaned using a powerful jet of water to remove any blockages like grease or roots. I also had the septic tank pumped and cleaned. I highly recommend P & P Septic Service Inc, who have highly qualified professionals like Jonathan who will give you vital information on how to keep your septic systems clean and running perfectly. I will be using P & P Septic Service Inc here in Milton VT to pump my spectic tank and clean my leach field pipes for now on. Thank you so much!

Really glad that I called P&P when our septic system got backed up. They were there in a few hours and Peter was great. I helped him dig down to the tank cover and he was careful not to make a big mess in my yard which I really appreciate. Price was also very reasonable. They made a crappy situation about as good as possible.
