Thanks so much for taking the time to look into Air Nerds as your last stop in searching for the right HVAC contractor. The owner, James Martin is a 3rd generation HVAC nerd. His father would take him on jobs when he was a kid and tear the work down - making James redo it if it was incorrect. Even in crawl spaces, where no one would see the work. Air Nerds believes in putting ourselves in the shoes of the homeowner who pays the bills. The owner's father taught him the value of honesty and hard work over high-pressure sales and rip-offs. When you choose Air Nerds you can rest assured that our highly skilled team of certified HVAC nerds will enter your home carrying tools and the same principles of business.

Brian checked my entire system and provided me with an excellent explanation of how the heat pump and the furnace work together. His explanation brought peace-of-mind for me as I did not previously understand how the two systems worked together. I highly recommend Brian and Air Nerds for heating and AC services.

On November of 2024, I purchased a home in Lake Anna which was built in 2022. Prior to my purchase, it was a full time rental with capacity up to 28 people. Now you can imagine how much abuse the HVAC system was put through in those 2 years. Since I purchased this home, we have had issues with 2 of the 3 units. I called Air Nerds on 12/23/2025 due to a short cycling fan on one unit and a loud condenser on the second unit. They were able to come out the very next morning, resolve the short cycling issue and troubleshoot the second unit. Both units are still under warranty and they worked with Trane to get the parts as soon as possible. At the end of the job, I was supplied with very detailed analysis and proof the the fix in the form of various pictures taken before and after. Thus far, service is top notch and I was informed throughout the process. One of the best part of their service is their dispatch system. It texts/emails you when the tech in on the way and you can view their exact location on the map. Due to all these reasons, I have signed up for their annual spring/fall inspection and will be using them for all my HVAC needs. Kudos to Brian, Allen, Darius, Phillip, and the owner James.

Had an amazing experience with them over the summer. Our system was having an issue where it would start up and then cut off within a few seconds. I contacted them online and was expecting to wait until Monday, but they ended up getting in contact with me and sending someone out on that same Saturday. He was excellent and spent a lot of time with the system, found out a bunch of bugs had crawled in and died, so he cleaned it out and made sure everything was working great. Really saved us during the hot humid days! Highly recommended! Originally found them through Reddit and was very happy with their level of service.

I had an exceptional experience with this HVAC company! From start to finish, they were professional, timely, and incredibly knowledgeable. Once I scheduled my appointment, they were able to come out quickly, which was a huge relief.
What stood out most was their honest approach — instead of jumping straight to recommending expensive equipment or installations, they thoroughly assessed our heating issue and explained everything clearly along the way. They took the time to walk me through what they were checking and what they were able to do, which I truly appreciated.
Their respect for our home was evident as well; they were careful to cover their shoes and keep the work area clean. It’s rare to find a company that combines skill, integrity, and great customer service so seamlessly. I highly recommend them and will absolutely call them again for future HVAC needs!
