- THTR HydockOct 29, 20255.0AMAZING - in every regard. This is a company that has been around a very long time and stands behind their products and work. Honesty and EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE start to finish - They consistently go above and beyond expectations. I had my front entry door replaced April 2011. The installation and service was exceptional - we receive numerous positive comments on our Provia Entry door. Since then we requested warranty work - which as always completed to an exceptional standard without stress and confusion. The owner, Mark Horner, is an honest and hard working individual who earned my confidence and loyalty. His is now joined by his son, Hadley, who clearly has learned from the best. Hadley, is understanding, patient, professional, respectful and responsive. There is a saying - no one care how much you know - until they know how much you care. Mark, Hadley and HOME EXTERIORS -- CARES!! YOU WILL NEVER GO WRONG USING THEM. Based on my experience they are solid business built on honesty, quality service and professionalism - and will be around a very long time. You can count on them - I DO!!

They did a great job a year ago and the door has a double lifetime warranty (so it also covers the next homeowner). Our door had a small defect a year after installation and Home Exteriors quickly completed a new door replacement. No hassle, negotiating, or any convincing. Just saw our photos and scheduled a new door installation. Their employee Luis is amazing! He showed us the new door first, to avoid installing one that was not satisfactory. Then promptly replaced the old one and professionally cleaned up afterwards. Home Exteriors Energy Consultants should be your "go to" choice for Home improvements!
- NCNeil CramseyDec 3, 20212.0This company did a great job of installing our new front door but the weather stripping on the bottom tore off after a few months and I asked them to replace it. A month later it tore off again and the guy that came to replace it (without bringing a replacement weather strip) said the threshold was installed too tightly and rubbed against the bottom of the door. I asked them to fix it and they said they would. Here it is four months later and nothing. They very easily forget about you. Would not recommend them because of service.
- ISIvan SOct 17, 20171.0I am so upset with this company and their work! If I could give zero stars, I would! Many corrections had to be made to our home after HEEC installed new siding, windows, shutters, etc in 2012. Tons of gaps, insufficient caulking, wrong shutter style, did not replace exhaust vents, waviness in siding, etc. Also, upon inspection of the attic where we could witness the job, we noticed contractors missed many studs and in the process punctured the sheathing which they destroyed by slicing, ripping and tearing when removing old siding. Because of this, it voids the warranty of the siding since they did not install per manufacturer's specification. We were never asked if we wanted new sheathing that they damaged and were unaware of the damage at the time since they installed during the day when we were at work. Also, they did not even repair the sheathing they ruined, whatsoever!!! The sheathing is the most important exterior structural component of the home! All they did was install a new home wrap to cover up their mess. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for residential improvement at all. Mark Horner needs to be more on top of the folks who contract his client's work. Will probably need new siding in a few short years because of the shoddy workmanship and skipped steps. Look to other Home remodeling companies.
