When our furnace was acting up, it was great to be able to call Royal and have a technician come right out same day even to WY, but to our sadness we found out that it was much more than just a little thermostat issue.
We were grateful they took time to help us with all the issues going on and got us a bundle with a great price. Then we were so grateful to be put into the service queue for the next day so that we could have a furnace again and hot water before the snowstorm, but that wasn’t even the best part!!
When the service tech’s started showing up they were on time at 9am and went straight to work after going over my expectations and the invoice Bryton, Darwin, Jackson, and Rowdy just knocked it out of the park. They are every person‘s dream of service being provided in your home. They jumped right into their tasks and were fabricating, building and working to make our home warm and have the new needed appliances that were purchased all while being mindful of small pets curious about their work.
Their service is wonderful and exceeded expectations and put my faith back in service. By 4pm you would have never have known anything had gone on that day at my house. Cleaned up every imaginable thing, not a thing out of place then went into the details of use and warranties before leaving. I would definitely recommend over and over and over.

My experience with Royal Plumbing Heating and Air has not been a good one. My furnace went out over a weekend, so I had a technician come out on Sunday. After looking at it, he determined it was a wiring problem caused by three chafed wires in the wiring harness, damaged by the cooling fan spindle inside the unit. He told me he needed to order a replacement wiring harness. I agreed and asked them to schedule the repair once the part arrived.
The company later contacted me and set an appointment, telling me the wiring harness would arrive the morning of the scheduled repair. I felt I shouldn’t have to pay for the part because the defect was either a manufacturing issue or something that existed when Royal initially installed the unit. When I called to discuss this, I was told that my furnace model was known to have this manufacturing defect. I asked why I should pay for a part they knew was faulty at installation. The General Manager agreed to waive the cost of the part but said I would still have to pay the labor fee, which I was fine with. I even planned to sign up for their membership program for annual services.
On the day of the appointment, the technician called to inform me that the part hadn’t arrived and that they didn’t know when it would. When I asked if they could track it with a shipping number, he said someone in the office had messed up. I then called the office, and they told me the technician should have that information because he ordered the part. I explained that I was upset because I had taken time off work for the appointment and would now have to take another day off once the part actually arrived.
I said I shouldn’t have to pay the labor fee since the scheduling and logistics errors were on their end and asked to speak with the General Manager again. He refused to waive the labor cost, which was $150. I told him I would still pay it just to get my furnace repaired, but that I would no longer be signing up for their membership plan and would find another company for my routine services.
To make things worse, the staff kept blaming the manufacturer, saying they didn’t have a shipping number—something I find hard to believe, since all shipped items have tracking. It feels like someone at Royal dropped the ball and is trying to cover themselves.
This company’s customer service is terrible, and I do not recommend them to anyone. They seem more focused on making money than on providing quality service.

I’ve had several interactions with Royal. The first was a furnace tune-up obtained through a mail coupon. About a week later, the furnace stopped working. The owner was responsive and was able to get it operating again.
I later used the company for two faucet installations and requested estimates on additional work, including a water softener and hose bib replacement. The estimate was significantly higher than what another licensed vendor ultimately charged for the same work.
Most recently, I scheduled a free tune-up and asked about installing a thermostat I had already purchased. The quoted price of $280 felt high given that the task involved moving four wires to a new harness, which I completed myself in about ten minutes without issue.
On the positive side, their communication and responsiveness have been good.

Entire HVAC replacement by Royal Plumbing and HVAC. We purchased a Daikin Heat Pump. Professional work by Devin, Trevor and James. Shout out to Geoff who sold us on the system, very patient with 1,000 questions to just him. Start to finish they were respectful, courteous and patient with our questions. They cleaned up after themselves like they weren’t here at all. We’ve been loyal customers of Royal since June of 2023. Every experience with toilet installation, rerouting plumbing to swap the side the garbage disposal goes on, put device on our 16 yr old a/c which saved us at least 15% on our electric bill, to reinstalling the kitchen sink after new counters were installed and now the whole HVAC system. Every employee has been top notch.
