I wake up every morning and think to myself how much I love my home! I cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are to have chosen DreamMaker as our remodel company. From start to finish they were on our side and wanted to work with us to achieve the best possible remodel.
While there are many good remodel companies out there, what made DreamMaker come out on top for us?
They work on schedule and there are no cost surprises. Construction and remodel projects are notorious for delays and changes in the price of items. This is not an issue with DreamMaker because once the contract is signed, they begin ordering items so there is no time for the prices to go up. Plus, they don’t start the remodel until all items are received, which assures that the schedule they make for the project can be adhered to exactly.
They only use top tier subs. Quality and professionalism is a must for everyone from the painter to the drywaller to the flooring installer. We are more than pleased with each subcontractor’s expertise and quality of work. Not one was a dud. That’s hard to do when there are so many, but DreamMaker manages to do it!
We did a whole home remodel in two phases. First we did the master suite from September to November of 2024. Next we did the rest of the home from November 2024 to January 2025 (kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, office, and powder bath on the main floor and two bedrooms and a bath on the upper level). Each portion of this remodel went on schedule with minimal changes and completed the very week they said it would be. And we couldn’t be more pleased with the results!
Shout outs:
Nate: How we appreciated his great design ideas to open up and modernize our 1988 floorplan. During the design phase he was all about making sure we got the design we wanted within the parameters of our home structure. And after the demo when some structural surprises were revealed, he helped adapt the design so it became even better than the original one!
Carolyn: She is so very talented in the latest design and feature details. She was able to seamlessly weave the style of our home with modern details to make it feel brand new without feeling dissonant from the original style. Caroly was also super patient and calm as we made some adjustments along the way, never making us feel that we were a bother, just that she wanted us to be happy with the final results, (which we are!).
Kevin: The perfect guy to be a project manager. He was super on top of all the subs and made sure things ran on time as well as doing many of the tasks himself with obvious experitise. Calm but firm, he’s got the experience, personality, and eye for detail to make sure the vision Nate and Carolyn created became reality. Plus, he communicates well, such a critical skill during a remodel.
Noah: Amazing skill and professionalism for a man who hasn’t yet had as much experience in the field. With work of exceptional quality, he has a natural eye for what needs to be done and how to do it.
Dustin: Though not our main project manager, he stepped in for Kevin and was eager to help wherever he was needed. Like Kevin and Noah, he has a wealth of skill and talent in the processes needed in a home remodel.
Emily: Fun and enthusiastic, Emily’s positivity and joy in her work was definitely contageous. She helped me a lot in planning and choosing furniture, rugs, and accent pieces that would be beautiful, functional, and economical. Emily had the perfect eye to guide me in decorating each space in a way that would complement the remodel.
Kalie: Behind the scenes, but equally important, Kalie was a master at keeping track of each purchase, big and small, in our remodel. From screws to doorknobs to cabinets, Kalie was responsible for ordering each item so that the remodel could go on without a hitch and she did it so very, very well.
