  The work they actually did seems pretty good. Paid $150 for the sprinkler protection (we wasted that money) Was told if for some reason we could not keep the scheduled date we would be charged. They canceled the date on us and rescheduled Had huge gaps (in some cases larger than 6 inches) in between the ground and the bottom of the fence (this was a big issue since the only point of the fence was to keep our 11 pound dog in the back yard). Eventually the owner came out and assured us that if we had issues he would come back out and fix them. I mentioned that I had been promised many things by guys that have come to my house and did work and virtually none of them return phone calls. The owner gave me his cell phone number and assured me he would follow through. After 2-3 and one cancellation the team came back out and did about half of the work (filling the gaps in between the fence and the ground) and the work actually looked pretty good and professional. They said they were busy and would have to come back and finish up next week. We never heard from them again. Despite 2-3 text messages to the owner I have not heard back from them. After over 2 months from the first time they actually showed up at my house we hired another company to come and fix the rest of the gaps in the fence. I gave them two stars because the work they actually did seems pretty good, but they did not finish the job, we did not get what we expected, the rescheduled twice, and had poor communication. I won’t be running my sprinklers until the late spring so I will have no idea if they actually damaged anything till then. I doubt they would return my phone calls anyways. (there goes $150!). If you use these guys I would not pay up front and don’t buy any of the “extras.”

  I only went with Fence Specialist to match an existing fence that was already in place, and I am glad I did. It was very clear what to expect throughout and I got exactly what was discussed with my salesman. They were great to explain the cost of each side so I could easily split it with neighbors. The best part was the installers. They showed up worked hard and quickly. They were friendly and clean unlike other installs i have seen in my neighborhood where a mess was left out for days during the install. I have seen some lower ratings on here, but in my experience there were no red flags.

  Working with Fence Specialist proved to be a good investment. We are very pleased with our fence and the way it turned out. There pricing was well below the competition also working on other homes in our neighborhood and Fence Specialist has a more attractive product. Would highly recommend them to friends and family.

  I’m giving 3 stars because overall our new deck looks really nice and Kevin did a few extra things to make sure it did. However, I’d give them 1 star for everything else. When it was started on Sept. 28th we were told it would take 1-2 weeks. It was finally finished the end of November after we were assured it would be done by Nov. 1st after calling the company mid October. We will have to wait until spring now to enjoy it. There was never any communication as to when someone would come to work on it and some weeks no one came. Their customer service is terrible. We are still waiting to hear back from the owner on some things and that was weeks ago. I’m glad that at least we like our new deck and are happy with the overall quality, but I would not use this company again.
