    Be careful buying a spec house in this community, make sure you check all your paperwork, if you just sign off on a house that hasn’t been completed yet they will leave out obvious things that should come with house. Check your paper work - make sure you don’t order a house without hardware, the cabinets cheap coating will chip within 2 weeks, the warranty guys will say they are going to come out but dont end up coming out, also they planted some cheap weed shrub as landscaping that spreads through your lawn and you’ll have to go pick them out every day. Again check your paperwork - they will install 1 ceiling fan in your house and no blinds and who knows what else if you don’t check your paperwork beforehand. Realtor from Brightland office was gracious enough to put the blinds after the closing. Multiple issues - can tell homes are production built, very quickly, we are worried about future foundation issues as earth is separating from foundation already. If my issues get fixed I’ll delete this post but for now, this is the truth and tired of getting the run around on getting issues resolved

    It is unfortunate that your sales people treat prospect buyers like idiots. No 5000 is not normal for earnest money, it is absolutely ridiculous and laughable that John and Tosha thought we were too stupid to believe it. No I do not want to buy your spec home, I want to buy the lot I want not the lot YOU want. Let me touch base on Tosha for a second, when a prospect buyer tells you they are NOT interested in a community, please do not waste an hour of their time insisting they look anyways, and do NOT insult the intelligence of the prospect buyer by insisting they do not know what they want. Tosha ruined any chance Brightland homes had for a sale, then we interact with John, which only worsen the experience. He was gracious enough to show us all the amazing floorplans, but that is when we started noticing cracks in the concrete around the house, and cracks in the walls already...it is obvious Brightland contractors did not irrigate the land before or during the building process, those homes will have serious foundation problems once the south Texas weather sets in. It was an overall terrible experience and I will never stop redirecting folks when I see them headed in that direction.
