He assessed the issue, but we did not receive the invoice until the next day, despite being promised within 15 minutes of completing the job. I received a call from Petrocelli the following day; however, I did not get the person's name. He started the conversation by stating that their company did not work on units that they had not installed. The tech had warned us that that might be the case, so we also asked him to provide a quote for Petrocelli to source a new unit and install it; however, we didn't receive it on our invoice. There was a $119 service charge, which we were well aware of upfront; however, the person I spoke with on the phone following the tech's onsite visit also told me that the tech had not charged us enough. The $119 was only for the first 30 minutes, and the tech had been onsite for 1.5 hours. The tech arrived on our property at 12:53 PM and departed at 1:41 PM. When I stated that I was happy to provide camera footage with date and time stamps, he knew it was okay, and he wouldn't charge us extra. I then asked for an estimated cost for Petrocelli to source and install a comparable 18,000 BTU Mini-Split Unit. Depending on the brand, this size unit retails for between $1,000 and $1,800. I was quoted an estimated cost of $9,000 to $12,000 for Petrocelli to source and install the system. I promptly hung up the phone!
