  Installation was 6 weeks ago ! They were on time however the seams look bad and one seam you can see how they didn’t cut it straight! I noticed on one of my stairs it’s starting to bunch up! We were told they would come and fix the seam that is cut wrong but it’s been 3 weeks since we have heard from them. Called again and they said they would return our call so we shall wait and see! So far not impressed! Plus what a mess was last behind!

  I have used them a few times for cleaning and deodorizing. Unfortunately, we still had problems with tenant dogs going back over the old places. This time I went with them to replace the carpet wholesale. They told me repeatedly they keep the carpet they recommended in stock. They did not respond to an email I sent them after the bid asking them about next steps. When I went in to set it up, they wanted payment in full in advance, saying Home Depot does it so they do too. That should have been a warning to me. Brian told me they did not have enough carpet to do my house even though it had only been two weeks since they bid the job. I told him I was told multiple times they had it in stock. They also told me they were out of the deodorizer they guaranteed to get any dog scents out that was part of their bid. I asked Brian how long to install and would they vacuum and clean up. He told me three days once they got it in and I heard him say they would vacuum but I might want to clean behind them. Fortunately they got the materials in a few days later. Brian called me on Friday and said they would be out on Monday and finish Wednesday. They left around 1:00 pm on Monday. I later found out they did not bring enough deodorizing spray. I called Wednesday morning to see when they would be done. The lady I talked with confirmed they would be done that day but did not know when. I asked her to call me back and let me know. Never hearing back from them, I went out in the afternoon to pick up junk and take pictures so I could list it. When I got there, they told me they were not going to finish until Thursday and they said they told Brian and his Dad Rick that on Tuesday evening. They left around 4:00 pm. I called the store and asked for Brian. He was not available. When he called back he made a range of excuses from I had not talked to him that day, to I had not asked for him originally, to no one told him, ... I told him that they advertise they are a family business and I thought that meant they talked to each other. Apparently not. His final excuse was they were in the construction business and I should not expect them to do things when they said they would. They did not vacuum and left carpets pieces everywhere on tile, on window ledges, etc. When I complained to Brian they did not vacuum, he said they never did. So if you want a mess after they come to your house, I guess hire them but know in advance what they will do and not do. While I think they did an OK job installing the carpet, I will never use them again with my properties and will not recommend them.

  Mr. Baxter and his son did an excellent job of installing our flooring and finished the job in 2 days, instead of three. Although we have had the flooring for only 2 days we really love it. I would recommend Smitty's and their installer Mr. Baxter and son.
