  First home inspection I ever needed. Rick was great and gave a thorough inspection of all items. Very thorough report was sent with pictures. Very reasonably priced and will use again. Electrical, roof, house plumbing which was found to be partially clogged, fireplace, attic, AC all covered. Thanks. Brian

  I’ve never written a review of any kind before but I felt Excel Inspections did such a great job that they more than deserve this shout out! My husband and I purchased a home from one of the biggest home builders in the country. No names mentioned. They had a project manager who let some things fall through the cracks because of the amount of houses he was in charge of. Brandon and Rick were able to point out a scary number of shortcomings that the builder should’ve noticed and corrected. My husband and I were so upset that we considered backing out of the deal. It’s not what we wanted but this house was nowhere near ready. After confronting the realtor and explaining the situation, they apologized profusely and agreed to throw in brand new appliances for free and push our closing date back until everything had been fixed. We were assigned a new project manager and everything went smoothly after that. All thanks to Brandon and Rick. Their professionalism and expediency are a testament to their name. They really do excel.

  Let me start off by saying this is the first home me or my wife have ever purchased. Our home builder had assured us that their third party home inspections were up to par, and that it was completely unnecessary for us to hire home inspectors on our own. Being as this is the biggest financial decision we have ever made, we decided to err on the side of caution. Best. Decision. Ever. Rick and Brandon came highly recommended by mutual acquaintances and they did not disappoint. Within minutes of being in the house, they were able to quickly discern issues which could only come from years and years of experience. They were punctual and professional. They were also very prompt with emailing me the detailed results of the inspection. The report was easy to follow and contained a multitude of pictures that showed exactly where the builders had failed. From corresponding with Ann to set up the inspection and receiving the results, to working with Rick and Brandon, I was thoroughly impressed every step of the way. I don’t really have plans to buy another house anytime soon but if I do, I know who I’ll be calling to inspect it.

  Rick and Brandon have inspected two homes for us. They saved us from a property which would have become a nightmare. Appreciate how thorough they are and how they're able to explain issues to me in a way that helps me understand the scope and severity. With their help, we were able to find a home we love that we're capable of taking care of. Thank you so much for all your help!
