  Really dissapointed. We spent our second week searching the myrtle beach area to figure out where we would feel comfortable and looking at a variety of builders and their offerings. We narrowed our choices to great southern homes because the house styles didnt have that boxy prefab look that other builders seemed to offer. Narrowed our location to oak hollow , we saw a house for sale that had all the features we were looking for though not on a lot we wanted. Looking at the plans i was interested in a specific lot and to simplify things told the representative i wanted that house on that lot. lot not available at that time ( january ) said i would wait. Didnt want to go through a complete new build from scratch so i said copy this house for that lot. So recently we found out the lot was available and the house model we were interested in had a few design changes. I asked the rep to price it out for me. then a few days later i find out that with the design changes they had not priced that out yet and that it would take time to do so however they could not hold the lot I wanted for me. Did i want to try a different model? You would think the builder would continue to offer the monaco model one until they had the monaco model 2 ready to sell and priced. We spent a week there narrowing out our choices to get what we wanted and now it looks like we'll have to start all over . probably lose the lot we wanted by the time they get the monaco 2 priced out. and of course they other concern if not is its going to push us to making a move right in the holidays which is what we were trying to avoid. Moving to a new home is a big deal . We saw what was available made our choices and we should be able to get exactly what we wanted. I didnt ask them to change the design of the monaco i was happy with what it offered. moving to a new home is a big deal and we should not have to settle for a second choice to do so. I like the southern homes styles. liked two of the locations . Their reps are friendly and helpful but the organization itself seems to be disorganized and inflexible.
