- KMKristen MaurerMay 28, 20191.0My husband and I recently went in to Clayton Tile around 11 am on Wednesday morning, May 15. There was no one else in the store. The lady at the front desk by the door was so kind. She asked if we would like help and we told her we just wanted to pop in to see the various tiles and selection because we’d heard so many good things. After about 20 minutes of aimlessly walking around because the store organization made no sense (at least to us - just your average shoppers) we went to the back where we saw approximately 8 sales reps sitting in front of computers. Not one looked up to acknowledge us. After standing around waiting for almost ten minutes we went back to the front desk and told her we would in fact like some help. She walked back to the very spot where we stood and asked if someone would help us. One woman offered and I told her kind of what we were looking for hoping she might offer some advice or suggestions (“You should check out this tile” or “Sounds like you might like something like this here is where you can find it” Nope). Since Clayton Tile didn’t have any posted prices that we could see, and because their selection is so vast (which is a plus), you really need HELP. We are getting ready to renovate three full bathrooms, a laundry room and our kitchen. Maybe if I had told them that they would have been more helpful. Very disappointed.
