  We were hesitant to use just any plumber because it seems anymore that plumbers just slap a huge price tag on everything. Dave and his Handyside crew were friendly, patient, helpful and most of all professional. They did everything possible to help us keep the cost down while also making sure the job was done thoroughly and correctly. They kept a clean and professional job site all through very cold temperatures on New Year’s Eve. We were very pleased with their work, and the fact that they did not gouge us even though they very well could have considering the situation we were in. We won’t hesitate to call them with any future plumbing needs. Thanks guys!

  Technician called in advance, showed up on time and was easy to communicate with concerning what was needed to remedy problems with our overflow tank on top of the hot water heater. He completed the tasks efficiently. He listened to our concerns about the increase in prices and our frustration with being unable to get any general cost estimate of services needed prior to this billed visit since we already knew the overflow tank needed replaced.

  We had a great experience with Handyside, and more importantly our service tech - John McLean was the best. The expansion tank on our water heater was leaking and John was on-site to replace in less than 24 hours. He was even able to pull the full warranty on our water heater (we just purchased the house a few months ago) and we now know that there are still two years left on the warranty. The job was completed on New Year’s Eve, and we can’t thank Handyside+John enough for the quick turnaround.

  Vaughn is a consummate technician.... He was patient he is an active listener and he photographed my notes from former technicians who were incompetent and I had to let them go but I'm so grateful to find your company and that you can handle plumbing needs as well as HVAC and a myriad number other common household concerns... He came prepared, he had filters, he showed me how to save in the future if I wanted to get them from an outside source or I can get them from him and the corporation whichever is easier for me. Since we had power outages it was affecting my voltage consistency and causing some of my problems on one of my units... I was so happy with his technique that we signed an annual contract and took out a warranty on other things as well as requesting him to be my technician going forward... I travel a lot and I'm not here 100% of the time and I need a technician that's reliable and I only want Vaughn.

  My family and I were having a lovely time on Christmas Eve when we realized our furnace had stopped working. No hot water and no back up heat. However, we have a heat pump so we decided to stick it out until after Christmas. I emailed Handyside on Christmas Day and at 7:15am the next morning a staff member called to schedule same day service. Tech Ethan E showed up with a smile and got to work diagnosing the problem. He clearly explained what was needed to me and even called my husband at my request to go over the estimate for a new circulator pump. Ethan replaced the pump and did not leave until he was certain the system was truly fixed and up and running. This was the best service appointment we’ve had with any company in some time. We are a new Handyside contract customer which means we receive a discount on service & other fees. The contract has already been worth it! I also love that this is a family owned company!
