- DBDavid BurkeNov 17, 20251.0My 85 year old uncle's furnace quit. Called blooms and told them it was an older furnace (20yrs). Tech came a day after they said they would arrive, looked at furnace and told him it's too old to work on. Tech said could replace furnace for $6,000. He did not do any service or trouble shooting but charge $105 for basically a guess on cost of new furnace and left an 85 year old with out heat. I called an independent repair man who replaced the transformer which fixed the issue for only $180. I called blooms and got the run another with plenty of bs justifying their work. I asked for the owner Jerry to call me but he has done so for over a week. Jerry knows of the situation so with him not being interested in having a conversation tells me he is fine with scamming seniors citizens in our community. I see blooms comments on good reviews. Maybe they will finally respond here.
