I hired Keyser Construction in 2023 for a major remodel of my attic. I had hired a designer to come up with a large bedroom/bathroom suite that included a large dormer on the back of the house and 2 small dormers on the front. This required 9 months of huge construction things like cutting giant holes in my roof, digging a huge trench in my finished basement for plumbing up to the attic, and due to city permit requirements and heavy duty engineering for the dormers, lots of really tough inspections. Due to financial constraints, I could not afford to move out of the house, so I had to live through all of this chaos which I figured would be tough. However, to the owner, Brandan Keyser, all of this was routine in a day's work. Every single day he showed up on time with a crew of very nice people and explained everything that would happen that day. He answered every one of my many questions and calmed my nerves when heavy duty construction (which sometimes sounded quite scary) took place. This was such a huge job and I don't think I could have gotten through it with another contractor. But Brandan is very smart, talented, honest as the sun, and demands perfection of himself and his workers. He worked along side his employees to make sure everything was done to specifications. He built exactly what my design showed on paper and also helped me enormously with difficult decisions about tile, trim design, and optional ways of doing things. When there was a choice of how to do something, he gave me a range of options based on cost along with an explanation of why there was a difference in cost between the various options. Brandan is very concerned about not wasting materials and is very cost conscious, too. What I got at the end of the project was an attic beyond my wildest dreams, beautiful, but looking like it belonged in a 1926 craftsman bungalow. He does charge time and materials, so if you ask him to do extra stuff, the price can go up, but to me, this is normal in remodeling a house, especially one that is 100 years old where there are lots of surprises in those walls. I was so happy with Keyser Construction that I hired them again a few years later to do a mini remodel of 2 funky looking bedrooms that needed new floors and one needed new walls. I also had a broken shower valve in the main bathroom, but I did not want to rip out the very old irreplaceable tile on the shower/tub walls. Brandan's crew carefully cut a hole in the plaster of one of the bedrooms to replace the valve from the back side and managed to not disturb that beautiful tile without a speck of damage. What a feat! I was so sure it would be done right at a reasonable cost that I did not bother to get bids from other contractors. Of course no contractor is perfect and construction projects always take longer than planned and always cost more than planned. If you don't like this reality, don't remodel your house! But with the very few things that did go wrong with both of my projects, Brandan took full responsibility, fixing the problem, and giving refunds when appropriate. If you want your remodel done right and you want it to look beautiful, Keyser Construction is the one to call.

Prior to the selling of our home in Wilsonville, we needed to have some work done in regard to rain damage that had occurred, because of the extension damage, the project was completed within a week's time. The work was professionally done. Keyser Construction has done a number of projects on our previous home and each job done was completed in a timely manner.
