  We love our baking nook and custom changing table! It was exactly what we envisioned. They were very professional and they delivered in a timely manner. Only customer cabinetry I would ever recommend!!!

  Over 20 years ago we chose Ward Wood to build the cabinets in our current home. As we now downsize and renovate a 1930’s home to move into, Ward Wood was without question our pick for the cabinets in our home. They have always been easy to work with and flexible with my design wishes. They built beautiful slim shaker cabinets and drawer bases for my kitchen. They also built us the perfect vanity for our master bathroom. We were provided with cabinet drawings for our approval. We were given a clear delivery date so that we could have our trim carpenter available to install our new cabinets. I have and will continue to recommend them again and again. We can’t wait to see our final vision come together!

  Ward Wood did all the cabinets in our new home, and they knocked it out of the park. They came out, spent time with my wife going over ideas, and even helped us figure out what we didn’t know we wanted. They took the time to illustrate it so we could really picture the end result. Everything turned out exactly how we hoped; beautiful work, great quality, and done right on schedule. On top of that, their pricing was very fair. We couldn’t be happier and would recommend them to anyone building or remodeling.

  BUYER BEWARE!! In May we ordered $3100 worth of custom office cabinets from Ward Wood. At the time of the in-home consultation there was a major miscommunication on the installation process of the cabinets. The salesperson made it clear they don't paint them, which was fine because we wanted a specific custom color anyway. However, we left the consult thinking they would come back and install the cabinets after we painted them. After ordering and waiting 8 or 9 weeks (with 0 updates from Ward Wood) for delivery, they were dropped off in our garage on Friday, Aug. 1st. We painted the cabinets over the weekend and called Monday Aug. 4 to schedule them to come back out. It was at this time that we were told they do not install cabinets. To say we were surprised is an understatement. To address any potential reply from the owner to this review: They pointed us to the sales receipt which did say they do not install or paint. Obviously that was an oversight on our part, but when you're moving across the country and have a lot going on moving in to a brand new house, it's easy to glance over that especially based on the in-person conversations we had with the sales person who I'm sure earned a decent commission for the sale. So yes, it will be our word against theirs, but regardless, for such a major part of the sale, there was definitely miscommunication between them and us. The biggest reason for this 1 star review is what has transpired since. Ward Wood is taking absolutely no responsibility for their part in the miscommunication nor doing anything to try and help rectify the situation. I have spoken with Sam (some sort of manager) on multiple occasions and each time he says he will talk with the owner Scott and get back to me. Ward Wood has never called me back with any type of help or compromise. We were ultimately resigned to installing the cabinets ourselves because the person Ward Wood referred for install quoted us an obscene amount. However, we then learned that the cabinets weren't actually built based on the measurements, they are built intentionally too big and need to be further trimmed out in order to install them. Again, this would have been good information to disclose during the sales process if they knew all along that they were not going to install them. But according to Sam, "it's not our job to know what you don't know". You're right Sam, it's the business' job to educate the consumer and ask qualifying questions to ensure a satisfactory experience. Today I made another phone call to Sam at 10:31AM where I was again told he would consult with the owner and one of them would get back to me. That never happened. It is readily apparent that Ward Wood is used to dealing with contractors and home builders and not end user consumers. I would caution anyone against doing business with Ward Wood, primarily based on their absolute lack of empathy and accountability if anything were to go sideways. Additionally, the cabinets aren't even that great of quality for being "custom". The joints and seams were not caulked and sanded properly and a couple of the pieces have dings in the wood. We also have their cabinets in our customer kitchen (wanted the office to match, which is why we went with them), and have subsequently had all sorts of issues with their soft-close mechanisms. I wish we would have known more about the quality of their sourced materials (I'm sure they get the drawer mechanisms from overseas) and their craftsmanship prior to placing this order. We might have avoided this entire fiasco. I am still hopeful for some sort of assistance, but I feel there was no other option than to leave this review, because I actually have no way of knowing if the owner is actually aware of the situation as I am never able to actually talk to him.
