Had to replace my roof and did not have anyone to guide me to who to use. Got 3 estimates and AK Roofing & Construction in Bixby had the best prices. So, decided to give them the opportunity.
Great decision on my part! Showed up on schedule, completed project on schedule, cleaned all debris as promised. I even had a small piece of trim that was missing prior to their work replaced at no extra charge.
I give them a 5 star and will use them next time I need a new roof. Thanks Aaron for a job well done.

AK Roofing and Constriction just replaced my roof last week. They did an excellent job. The new roof looks amazing and I was impressed at how quickly they worked. The job was finished in a day with cleanup the next morning. They also showed great professionalism in protecting my property with netting and not damaging the landscaping. I highly recommend them.

My home was damaged by a tornado earlier this year, which was needless to say a very stressful situation. Shannon and the crew at AK made the process of getting my home repaired a lot less stressful. He said they would take care of everything, and they did. They coordinated with my insurance company on my behalf, making sure I got a fair settlement, and managed all of the repairs across various trades. Shannon kept me informed throughout the process and always made sure I was happy. Highly recommended!

Frequently Asked Questions About AK Roofing & Construction
How long should my roof last?
In Oklahoma, the average lifespan of a roof is typically between 10 to 15 years. However, this can vary depending on factors such as materials used and local weather conditions.
Does my homeowner's insurance cover my roof
Most homeowner's insurance policies cover structural damage to roofs caused by specific perils like hail, wind, fire, and falling trees. It's important to ensure your policy is based on Replacement Cost Value (RCV). Coverage often includes repair or replacement after you pay your deductible, but some policies may have exclusions for certain conditions. We recommend reviewing your specific policy details for accurate information.
Does a leaky roof need to be completely replaced?
A complete roof replacement isn't always necessary for a leaky roof. The decision between repair and replacement depends on the extent of the damage. For newer roofs with minor issues like a few damaged shingles, repairs may be cost-effective. However, if the damage is extensive or involves an older roof or multiple layers of roofing materials, a partial or full replacement might be recommended. Our experts can assess your situation and suggest the most appropriate solution for your needs and budget.
What does a new roof cost?
The cost of a new roof varies based on several factors including the size and shape of the roof, the type of materials used, and local labor costs. Additional features like chimneys and skylights can also affect the overall price. It's important to also consider the disposal costs for your old roof. AK Roofing & Construction offers a complimentary, no-obligation quote to help you understand the potential costs for your specific situation.
What are the signs of a failing roof?
Signs of a failing roof include loose or missing shingles, visible sagging, exposed nail heads, curled, cracked, or blistering shingles, granules or debris in gutters, missing or damaged flashing, dark or stained areas, unusually high heating and cooling bills, and water leaks in top-floor ceilings. It's worth noting that an asphalt shingle roof over 15 years old may need replacement even without visible signs of failure. We recommend contacting us for a free inspection before filing an insurance claim to assess the extent of any damage.
How long does a roof typically last in Oklahoma?
In Oklahoma, roofs generally last between 10 to 15 years, though lifespan varies based on materials and weather conditions.
Does homeowner's insurance cover roof damage?
Most homeowner's insurance covers structural roof damage from events like hail and wind, typically based on Replacement Cost Value after deductible, but check your specific policy for details.
Is a complete roof replacement necessary for a leaky roof?
Not always; minor leaks may only need repairs, but extensive or older roof damage might require a partial or full replacement, which our experts can help assess.
What factors affect the cost of a new roof?
