I tried for two months to get a simple quote on a project and got absolutely nowhere. I called during business hours twice and went to voicemail and left messages that never got returned. I finally got through on the third try and spoke with Stan in the West Salem office. He gave me Nathan's number in the Brunswick office, so I called him. He had me send him pictures of similar projects. He then referred me back to the West Salem office to talk to Adam who I called and left a message for. Never heard back so called Stan back. Finally got a call back from Adam who had me send him pics of an example project (same as Nathan), then said he would follow up with me the following week as he was going out of town. Never heard anything. I see plenty of other people have had good experience with this company, but from what I can tell they don't communicate or follow up at all and are disorganized.

I hired Yoder Barns in March 2025 to build a 24’ x 36’ detached garage with 14’ side walls in a suburban residential neighborhood. Prior to deciding to hire Yoder Barns for this project, I performed my due diligence and spoke with several former customers. After hearing nothing but good things regarding the build quality and Amish workmanship, I signed the contract with Yoder Barns. The metalwork on my garage does not reflect this claim of quality Amish workmanship. In addition, the build crew didn’t bother giving the trusses a quick wipe down to remove chunks of dried mud and muddy footprints prior to installation. These sections are 16+ feet up and cannot be reached by the homeowner. This isn’t a farm barn; it’s a residential garage. This is not the caliber work that I was promised as being Amish workmanship and attention to detail. It’s lazy and sloppy. I reached out to Adam Whitney, owner of Yoder Barns, via the Consumer Protection Section of the State of Ohio Attorney General’s Office asking for the workmanship issues to be corrected by Yoder Barns. The issues not only fall under the original build which still has not been closed out (no final walkthrough and no customer signature for project completion), but they also fall under Yoder Barns 5-Year Workmanship Warranty. I’ll update this review based on how Adam Whitney decides to address this situation. Edit: I have heard nothing directly from Adam since the end of August 2025 other than an emailed receipt on 9-18-25. Since he claims that he has attempted to contact me multiple times, he can feel free to prove it. The final walkthrough that was scheduled by Adam for 8-14-25, that he didn’t show up for, was the opportunity for Adam to see these issues and address them accordingly. As of today, more than 2 months have passed since the build was completed and Adam has yet to contact me to schedule the final walkthrough and customer signature for project completion. Update 11/1/25 Adam Whitney still has not contacted me to address the issues shown in the photos, nor has he supported his claim that he had attempted to contact me multiple times.

We had Yoder Barns build a roof structure over out back patio and deck. Adam and the guys on site were all pleasure to work with. They built exactly what we wanted within a reasonable time frame, and did it at a great price. We had a problem getting the original gutter people to show up but Adam got a different crew to come install as soon as he knew of the issue. We plan on using Yoder Barns for future projects and highly recommend them.
