As a leading excavating contractor in Ohio, we offer lot clearing, debris removal, rock removal, dirt excavation and drainage solutions. We’re not afraid to get dirty, and we take pride in our work ethic and attention to detail!
In business since 1975, owner Jonas Miller and his son Leroy started this family business. Now led by the second generation in the family, we keep growing as we have 30-plus employees and five to six crews working daily all around town.

Professional, caring and knowledgeable service quickly corrected our issue. They went over and above to protect our yard by limiting damage and repair. By their suggestion too, they took materials offsite and brought back when needed. I was looking to have a total mess of my front yard. It was a very hot day and the digging was extremely difficult but the guys in the trench worked hard only taking a break while waiting for the truck to return from hauling materials off site. While waiting, they still raked materials out of the grass and cleaned up. J Miller & Son Excavating gets 5 STARS, from the phone call thru the clean up they proved to me their worth. Including the follow up phone call to check with me if I was satisfied with the work. I highly recommend J Miller & Son Excavating! Plus, the price came well under the estimate! Thanks again!
