We had a very positive experience with Mister Sparky Electric located in Englewood, Ohio. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and timely throughout the whole process. The quality of the work was excellent, and everything that was scheduled to be done was completed as expected.
Any delays we experienced were due to the power company and were completely unrelated to Mister Sparky’s work or effort. They communicated well, showed up when expected (~after emailing a photo of who was to arrive for safety purposes), and went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled properly.
I truly appreciate all of their hard work and would absolutely recommend Mister Sparky to anyone looking for a reliable honest team and high-quality service.

Nick and Jacob were very professional and courteous and explained everything that was wrong. They took the time to explain everything that was fixed.

Shawn did a fabulous job at my house today. He was very professional, hard-working, and polite. I would recommend this business to anyone who needs any electrical service. It is hard to find a company that really cares, but they do!
Five star service techs one star pricing. $1,300 to run maybe 30’ of wire from my panel to my garage one outlet. Took techs less than 2hrs.
End of the day I signed on the dotted line for the price so that’s my fault. Moral of the story if you’re in the Dayton area make sure to call more than one place and get a quote. Techs were solid price wasn’t. I’m happy with the work but definitely not the price.
This review is based purely on them coming out to give a quote. I did not have any work done by them.
"Please take a moment to leave us a 5-Star review!" - That was in the email with the quotes. I think that explains most of the reviews, but I had quite a different experience.
Had them come out to give a quote on a new outlet in a bathroom. The guy was just a salesmen trying to up sell a bunch of stuff, and ultimately suggested solutions against code.
I show him to the bathroom and then the breaker box. He proceeds to remove the panel from the breaker box. Goes back to the bathroom and proceeds to remove light-switch plate in nearby closet and an outlet in nearby hall. I'm wondering to myself why he is doing these things.
Then provides me with a bunch of ridiculous quotes. Says they should have installed whole home surge protectors (not true, home was built in 2013, which he was aware of since he asked, and that only became code in 2020). So he says I need primary and secondary surge protectors installed. Says all the outlets were installed incorrectly, but admits they were up to code.
He gives a nearly $8k quote for 2 surge protectors and reinstalling every outlet and switch in the house and also the new outlet I needed.
Gives a 2nd quote for about a third of that price to do just some of the stuff.
Then finally a 3rd quote for what they came out for (just the bathroom outlet), which was the highest of the 3 quotes I received so far.
Here's the kicker. He said they would hook the bathroom outlet up to either the hall switch or the hallway outlet. Both of these options violate 2 codes. 1) Bathroom receptacle circuits cannot serve other rooms. 2) Bathroom outlets must be on a 20amp circuit (neither of which the light switch or hallway outlet were on).
One final note, lot of snow and slush outside in the streets due to recent snow. He comes in and throws on thin boot footies. Slush on his boots soaked right through it and trampled everywhere he walks.
