- TTTerri TrameMar 21, 20221.0Poor quality of prepping led to softening of the asphalt. Just argued about fixing it! We just had to pay Gradeco $11,000 to fix what Vandalia Blacktop would not! When it was opened up it was obvious that poor workmanship on Vandalia Blacktop’s part caused it. I would never use this company ever again. They are awful. They wanted us to remove this. We talked with an attorney and they stated that it would cost us more than the $12,000 it cost us to repair it so we didn’t follow up with legal action. If they want to reimburse us the $12,000 it cost us to fix their improperly installed blacktop I am happy to say they stood behind their mistake and remedied it! We did not have any heavy equipment on it other than our RV which is normal use. The only heavy duty equipment on our driveway was trucks that belong to Vandalia Blacktop. We are happy to show the owner if he wants to come out and discuss it. We are not slanderous just expressing how our situation was. How do they explain no gravel beneath 1” of blacktop? We were business owners and knew the importance of standing behind our quality of work!
