Jake Taylor, who took over from Fred Ritchey in January 2024 is really smart & has a broad grasp of how things work. They built a whole new house for me (including demolishing the old house) and I always felt like they knew what they were doing. Understood the permits, the order of work, the transferring & setting up of utilities. Worked well with my architect. Considering I wasn’t even speaking to my last 2 renovation contractors by the end of the jobs, this is high praise. They also do renovation work. Highly recommend. You get what you pay for. Ritchey is very accommodating, responsive & responsible.

The 1st phase involved a complete renovation of a bathroom, including a transition from a tub to walk-in shower. It also included new quartz countertops in our kitchen and two bathrooms. The 2nd phase was more intricate and involved the addition of a new master suite on the first floor, new laundry room, renovation of our former laundry room to a dedicated mudroom, and revamping of our exterior main entry and walkway. Ritchey Construction was excellent through the entire process. Jake Taylor, president of Ritchey, was onsite multiple times a week throughout both phases to ensure his subcontractors were on schedule and performing to his high standards. Ritchey’s subs were also excellent; their craftsmanship, kindness, and attention to details exceeded our expectations. Weather delays (frigid temps, snow, and extremely muddy conditions) impacted our project, however, Jake worked tirelessly to make up time with his team/subs, where possible. We are grateful to Jake, Pat (project manager), and Jackie (office admin) for their professionalism and support throughout our two renovation projects and could not be happier with the results. We highly recommend Ritchey for your renovation needs.
