  I've done business with Angelo Chiodo three times over the last few years. Their service, prices, and commitment are the best I've come across. The first time was with the installation of a hybrid heat pump hot water heater. Most companies didn't want to have anything to do with it, and those they did wanted to charge me more than I paid for it! Chiodo installed it for a VERY reasonable price. When I later had an issue with the condensate pump, they came and it fixed it free of charge. I was so impressed by their service that when it was time to replace my early 1990s furnace and AC setup, Art, their extremely knowledgeable and professional sales representative, suggested a cold climate heat pump and helped me pick a unit of the right size and specifications. I chose a GREE FLEXX unit, which works like magic. Despite the very cold temperatures here in Central New York, it's never failed to keep the house heated in the wintertime and it's kept the house equally cool during the summer months. I liked this particular unit because it worked with my existing Ecobee smart thermostat and is extremely quiet. Last year we added an addition to our house that couldn't be serviced by our existing duct work, so Chiodo recommended adding a mini-split to that room. Being impressed with what they did previously, I had them add a GREE mini-split to that room. It's worked so well that we're now finding ourselves back there watching TV and sports instead of in the family room. Everyone there has been pleasant, professional, and very responsive. Thank you, Frank, Art, and everyone else at Chiodo for taking the worry out of my recent home projects.

  I would not recommend this company based on my experience. After investing nearly $16,000 into a new HVAC system, I spent months being told by the front desk that I “didn’t exist” in their system, which made scheduling any service extremely frustrating. When I finally connected with a salesperson, Art, to address an HVAC run that had not been connected properly in my house, the visit was equally disappointing. I specifically asked him not to leave the basement sliding door open to prevent my cats from getting into unsafe areas. Unfortunately, he left the door wide open anyway, and instead of closing it, he came upstairs to tell me one cat had already gotten loose. By that time, all of my cats had wandered into the very area I had warned him about. I’ve worked with many contractors over the years, and this is the only company that has caused this level of difficulty and disregard for customer instructions. Given the significant investment I made, I expected far better service and professionalism.

  They put a new air conditioning unit in my home. From start to finish everything went great. They were on time and professional. Very happy with them and I would highly recommend them for your HVAC needs.
