Who will perform the work on my property?
Rob Laffer, the owner, strives to be personally involved in all projects. For smaller jobs, a secondary crew may be assigned, but Rob will still closely oversee the work through regular site visits.
How do you schedule your clients?
We operate on a first-come, first-served basis. It's important to note that your project will only be added to our schedule after we've received a signed contract and the initial down payment.
Do you provide CAD designs?
At present, we do not offer CAD designs in-house. However, we can typically develop a design plan during the initial site visit based on the client's ideas. If architectural services are required, we can recommend a trusted architectural firm we collaborate with.
How much does a hardscape installation cost?
The cost of hardscape installations varies significantly based on factors such as property access, soil conditions, project size, and materials used. We price our work based on time and materials. While we don't use square foot pricing for estimates, we can provide rough figures to help with budgeting. For example, pricing starts at $30 per square foot for pavers, $36 per square foot for stone flagging, $100 per square foot for dry stack stone walls, $85 per square foot for segmented retaining walls, and $85 per square foot for stone veneer. Please note these are approximate figures and not formal estimates.
Do I need any permits?
Permit requirements depend on your property's proximity to water bodies or wetlands. While most towns don't require permits for our typical projects, we always verify local regulations. We can assist with the permitting process, but for larger projects, we may recommend hiring a specialized permitting or surveying firm.
